• We're looking for a Staff or Senior Product Engineer to join as an early member of our engineering team
• We're a small team of generalists with deep experience in startups and who care about our craft. We move fast, ship often, and hold ourselves to a high bar
• You’ll shape product direction from day one, and ship features to production within your first week
• Requirements will be fuzzy - you’ll talk to users, form hypotheses, and iterate quickly to define what to build
• We're building with:
• A TypeScript monorepo, React, tRPC and Tailwind
• Inngest for background jobs and event-driven workflows
• Deployed on Google Cloud Platform with Postgres
• Reports directly to the founder

• Introduction Call with Talent
• An Introductory Call is a ~30 minute call on Meets to get to know you more: your experiences relevant to the role you've applied to, understanding your interest in Alecto, and a chance for us to give you more context / give you a chance to ask anything about the role or us!

• Stage 3:
• Take Home Coding Challenge
• For our engineering roles, we need to ensure we're hiring genuine builders 🧱 We've set up a coding challenge to allow you to flex your creativity, whilst showing us your thought process on why you decided to make a technical decision
• Please note, the challenge is relative but not associated with our platform/code. We're aware candidates will be part of other processes, may have current roles, plus other family/personal commitments, so being respectful of your time is first and foremost!
• Stage 4:
• Technical Interview
• Time to meet our engineers!
• This will be a 1h15 interview to dive into your technical abilities, including spending 10 mins walking through your tech test and asking some questions on the approach, and then running through a System Design white-boarding session too
• Stage 5:
• Whiteboarding Session
• As part of this role, we would expect engineers to have a strong systems-design thinking and experience. In this stage, you'll work with the engineers to solve a challenge to draw upon your product-thinking
• Stage 6:
• Values Interview
• A chance for you to meet our Founder & CEO, Will and discuss how your own values, motives and ways of working align with Alecto. It's a great chance for you to understand what drives us and get to know us, too 💫
