Role
Who you are
- A minimum of 6+ years experience as a Product Manager working on a consumer-facing product
- Experience driving, owning and successfully executing projects with multiple internal/external stakeholders (fintech / payments or highly regulated environment a big plus)
- Consistent track record of shipping projects with broad measurable impact
- Strong project management skills and experience with software development and productivity tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize and remain focused under pressure
- Experience with or knowledge of the consumer fintech domain is a plus!
- Experience articulating a specific product vision, rallying a team, and iterating on customer feedback is a must
- Enjoying working with multiple stakeholders and partners to bring complex products to market is a plus!

What the job involves
- As a product manager, you will help us further our mission to make credit better, by powering the next generation of credit cards. This means building a delightful experience for consumers, and powerful engagement and marketing tools for brands (all on a solid financial product foundation)
- You’ll get to work across different problem areas and across disciplines as you advocate for our consumer customers and work with our innovative brand partners to bring new financial products to market
- Help set our roadmap, prioritizing big bets, immediate wins, bugs, and more by building deep context and analyzing the data
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
- Empowering others to project-manage when possible.Identify, scope, and drive process improvements across your area of ownership
- Work cross-functionally with a number of teams, including Engineering, Product, and others to build the best products for our brand and consumer customers
Our take
Cardless is a financial technology company attempting to modernize co-branded credit card programs. There are around 200 brands in the U.S. with traditional cards that haven't been modernized in over 20 years. These traditional cards, from the likes of Costco and Sam's, enable shoppers to collect reward points that they can use for things like travel.
Cardless is helping popular consumer brands (for example, NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers) launch credit cards so they can engage with their fans and reward them with bespoke benefits. For example, a virtual conversation with a player.
Cardless’ co-founders are no strangers to the financial industry. Michael Spelfogel spent time at Visa and Scott Kazmierowicz worked in banking for Goldman Sachs. Through their experiences they spotted a gap in the market for simple, credit card loyalty programs that focus on customer experiences.
The global credit card market is valued at over $100 billion. It's certainly big enough for consumer brands to enter, however, with Cardless acting as a middle-man, there's always a risk that it could get frozen out by the big banks.
