- Familiarity with healthcare ecosystems—particularly radiology, population health, and associated technologies—is highly valued
- Comfort working in a rapidly evolving space, making informed decisions with limited precedent, and iterating quickly based on market feedback
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
What the job involves
- We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial leader to launch a new, high-impact product offering that will expand our footprint in the healthcare and radiology space
- Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take an idea from concept to market reality, shaping the business model, defining our go-to-market approach, navigating legal and operational structures, and forging connections with key stakeholders—primarily leading healthcare providers—to drive adoption
- In this early phase, you’ll be a hands-on operator, working across multiple functions without the support of a dedicated team
- You’ll partner with our leadership, including the General Manager of Market Development and Radiology Strategy, to refine strategic direction and ensure alignment
- Success in this role will be measured by the speed and depth of provider uptake, and you’ll have the opportunity to set these targets in collaboration with the executive team as you finalize the business plan
- This is a rare opportunity to shape the trajectory of an innovative healthcare company from its earliest stages
- You’ll have direct access to the CEO, the freedom to set strategic direction, and the chance to bring a new vision to life
- Develop and refine the product’s market entry strategy, including positioning, pricing, and value proposition
- Establish the operational and legal framework required to support rapid growth and ensure compliance
- Engage cross-functional teams—from product, engineering, and data science to sales and marketing—to deliver a seamless launch
- In partnership with the General Manager of Market Development and Radiology Strategy, build relationships with healthcare providers, radiology departments, and related stakeholders to drive initial adoption and long-term partnerships
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to set meaningful KPIs and metrics, ensuring accountability and data-driven decision-making
Our take
Covera’s study of advanced imaging technology found complex diagnoses to have error rates of 30% or more. Their answer has been to develop powerful AI powered analytics tools to assist radiology providers in improving diagnostic accuracy, thereby reducing patient harm and healthcare expense.
It is a promising area in which to develop and deploy AI tools. Covera benefits from cloud-based access to medical records stretching back over a decade, and millions of associated data points, to refine and train their error recognition software.
Moreover, Covera is tapping into an expanding market. Not only do they serve providers in all 50 US states, they’re specializing in a niche area of a market that is expected to reach just over $80 billion by 2026. Healthcare analytics is expected to revolutionize the field over the next few years, and Covera is positioning itself as a strategically specialized player.
