Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience with LLMs and their practical applications
- Proficiency in functional programming languages (e.g., Elixir)
- Strong background in web development, including modern frameworks and libraries
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Contributions to the tech community through open-source projects, blogs, or speaking engagements
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- You’ll be reporting directly to the CTO / Head of Engineering at Parallel
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the charge in developing and enhancing our advanced web applications and LLM-driven solutions
- You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology stack and guiding junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and scalable software
- Architect, design, and implement complex web applications using LLMs and functional programming languages
- Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and integrate new tools and techniques into our projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

In Parallel believes that the most common missteps for companies looking to innovate aren’t in having the wrong strategy, but in failing to execute these strategies correctly.
