Role
Who you are
- As an early stage start-up, we’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of multiple different workstreams. You’ll need to learn fast, wear multiple hats and achieve excellent outcomes for the business as we grow rapidly
- Is naturally entrepreneurial: You’re a self-starter who takes initiative and then takes ownership. You’ll need to work independently and achieve outstanding results
- Is passionate about building something game-changing: You're excited about building transformative solutions that make a real impact in healthcare
- Obsessed with solving problems: You approach your challenges thoughtfully and creatively. We want people who go to bed thinking about their problems and how to solve them
- Is organised and prioritises well: With many moving parts, you can juggle multiple tasks without letting anything slip through the cracks
- Communicates effectively: You are a clear and concise communicator, both with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Even if you don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply if you’re excited about the role and believe you have the skills to succeed
Desirable
- 1-2 years of experience in high-performing roles, whether in start-ups, corporate settings, or entrepreneurial ventures
- Some experience in healthcare, particularly GP Primary Care, is a bonus, but not a requirement
What the job involves
- As a Founders’ Associate, you will work across the business, helping us to build and scale our business and its functions. You’ll work closely with our senior leadership to drive critical initiatives forward and carry out a variety of tasks that help us achieve our mission as a company
- Drive the company forward: Work with our CEO (Sachin) and CTO (Ali) on critical business initiatives to drive the company forward
- Product strategy: Help develop and refine our product strategy and roadmap to build exceptional tools that drive efficiency in GP practices
- Kitchen Sink: Take ownership of a wide range of tasks to meet the company's objectives. For example: developing case studies, bug finding, CS/Sales support, building a marketing function, rebuilding our website, planning team socials, managing our roadmap, writing pitch decks
- Project leadership: Proactively suggest and lead initiatives, taking ownership of projects from start to finish
- Systems and tools: Use our tools (e.g. Asana, Gitlab, Notion) and bring in any others you’ll need to be as efficient and effective as possible. Constantly be thinking about improvement
- This is our most wide-ranging and business critical role. We’re looking for someone who is willing/able to work smart, work hard and do whatever is required to push us forward
- While we know we’re asking for a lot right now, the role will evolve as the company grows and serves as an excellent springboard for those interested in eventually leading key areas of our business

Reactive care is the most well-known approach in healthcare, whereby patients only seek help for conditions after they’ve already developed into critical issues. Proactive care involves pre-emptive outbound care from a practice and an ongoing patient-provider conversation to ensure patients stay healthy and helps prevent life-threatening emergencies; Hippo Labs is building tech to help practices do more Proactive Care which will keep patients healthier for longer.
Hippo Labs has built its core technology and is currently live with over 400k patients. Its now looking to build a team, refine the product and build a dominant market position.
