Who you are
- We’re expanding our world‑class product marketing team with a curious, versatile, and impact-seeking product marketer. Do you love the tech in tech product marketing? Are you a natural storytellers who happens to be passionate about the role digital assets play in the global financial markets?
- 8-10+ years of Product Marketing experience in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure (don't require all three - candidates from Stripe, Adyen, Wise, etc. may have payments without blockchain)
- Payments Expertise: Deep understanding of payment rails, cross-border payments, settlement systems, remittance flows, or payment network dynamics. Experience marketing to PSPs, payment platforms, or financial institutions preferred
- Industry Storytelling: Exceptional ability to simplify and elevate messaging for complex platforms within a highly dynamic ecosystem. Proven track record creating compelling narratives around infrastructure and network effects
- Market Knowledge: Experience and interest in cryptocurrency, digital assets, stablecoins, and the blockchains powering global financial transformation. (If you don't have blockchain experience but are deeply curious and fast-learning, we want to hear from you.)
- Strategic & Tactical Agility: Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving results through innovative strategies and flawless execution. Comfortable being hands-on creating content while also thinking strategically about market positioning
- Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to align Product, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver GTM excellence. Experience influencing product roadmap based on market insights and competitive intelligence
- Content Development: Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills to support marketing and enablement initiatives. Portfolio of work samples (solution briefs, positioning docs, launch materials) required
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to define success metrics and translate data into actionable insights. Experience measuring PMM impact on pipeline, win rates, and sales velocity
- Global Perspective: Understanding of regional payment nuances, regulatory requirements, and go-to-market strategies across markets preferred
What the job involves
- As part of the Fireblocks product marketing team, you'll define positioning, lead go-to-market strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally to demonstrate the value of Fireblocks’ solutions to a customer base equally excited about the market opportunity
- As our Product Marketing Director for Payments, you'll own go-to-market strategy for Fireblocks' payments infrastructure and network solutions. You'll position how Fireblocks enables payment service providers, remittance companies, and cross-border payment platforms to move money globally with speed, security, and transparency that traditional rails can't match
- This role requires deep understanding of payments ecosystems, network effects, and the regulatory landscape shaping the future of global money movement
- Own the Payments Vertical: Develop deep expertise in payment service providers, remittance platforms, cross-border payments, and stablecoin infrastructure as your primary focus areas
- Drive Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute precision GTM strategies for payments solutions, driving pipeline growth, adoption, and revenue within PSPs, payment networks, and remittance companies
- Become an Expert: Maintain competitive and market trend expertise in blockchain-based payments, stablecoin infrastructure, cross-border settlement, and traditional payment rails. Work closely with the competitive and research team, maintain an always-learning mentality, and attend payments-industry events as needed and desired
- Craft Messaging & Positioning: Develop clear, compelling, and competitive value propositions that speak to payment companies, PSPs, and financial institutions transforming how money moves globally
- Enable Sales on Complex Payment Use Cases: Develop sales enablement content that helps teams articulate Fireblocks' value for instant settlement, multi-currency treasury management, and regulatory compliance
- Partner with Payments Ecosystem: Build relationships with stablecoin issuers, payment networks, and regulatory bodies to inform product strategy and market positioning
Our take
The derivatives market has always been attractive for larger investors, but one of the biggest hurdles they needed to overcome has to do with capital efficiency, custody and security. Fireblocks allows for the trading of derivatives on any asset, using any form of collateral while receiving cross-margin benefits across counterparties. Essentially, it enables institutional traders to move digital assets without the operational or security headache.
By trying to make digital asset trading more secure, Fireblocks is banking on assets like cryptocurrencies becoming a new part of the mainstream trade of financial institutions. Cryptocurrencies are known for being notoriously unstable in their value but when traded properly, can be hugely profitable. Fireblocks believes that their cybersecurity services will make the industry seem safer and thereby make it more attractive to new participants.
In fact, Fireblocks are already on to something here. Now that cybersecurity standards have been boosted, a whole new crop of institutional entities has already set up shop in the crypto world. The more that follow suit, the more stable the market becomes - and the more potential clients Fireblocks can access. If Fireblocks can make digital assets both accessible and secure for mainstream traders, as they are doing through partnerships with the likes of CoinTrade, they have a huge potential market waiting to be tapped into.
