Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in business development or accoun management, with significant ownership of outcomes
- In-depth understanding of Greater Manchester’s landscape, including neighbourhoods, cultural dynamics, and ideally existing connections within the local restaurant and hospitality industry
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience managing key accounts or partnerships. You're skilled at pitching, negotiating, and nurturing long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Comfortable making decisions grounded in data, with experience monitoring key marketplace metrics (CAC, LTV, conversion rates, marketplace health). Familiarity with managing a P&L and using analytics dashboards or CRM software is strongly preferred
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities—from on-the-ground meetings to strategic planning—without sacrificing attention to detail. You consistently follow through and demonstrate strong project management and time management skills
What the job involves
- Act as Shuffle’s local expert for Greater Manchester, deeply understanding the restaurant industry and becoming the face of Shuffle in the area
- Lead Shuffle’s strategic expansion beyond the city centre to the wider Greater Manchester region
- Identify, acquire, and onboard top local restaurants, setting them up for ongoing success on our platform
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for restaurant partners in Manchester, managing relationships and driving partner growth
- Collaborate closely with Shuffle’s founders to continuously enhance our local customer offering by leveraging deep market knowledge, optimising restaurant operations, and refining the area's growth strategy
- Own and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Manchester market, proactively identifying opportunities to improve market share, partner performance, and customer satisfaction

Our take
Rewards platforms for the hospitality industry can tie restaurants with badly matched businesses and risk being quickly forgotten by users. Uninspiring brands, failure to evoke customer loyalty and the fact that an average of 60% of restaurants fail in their first year sparked the idea of Shuffle, a restaurant investment and rewards platform.
The ecosystem that Shuffle is building is a rather neat one. Investing directly into restaurants, bars and cafes, the company uses its financial returns to set up rewards programmes for its partner restaurants and the customers who sign up to the Shuffle platform. The rewards themselves are, on average, valued at about 20% of their order. They’re randomised, ensuring a fun and unexpected reward for customers, which adds a hint of gamification to a meal out. Ultimately, hospitality businesses gain a loyal customer base, customers gain a deal sweetener for their evening out, and Shuffle makes a profit through its platform, reward partnerships and investments.
Shuffle is currently available in Manchester and Liverpool, but has longer term plans to expand out across the UK. Its hybrid reward platform and investment portfolio have a lot of potential for widespread adoption.
