Who you are
- You have a lot of empathy and drive to take care of every employee’s query
- In-depth knowledge of Ireland labour laws as well as a strong foundation and understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance requirements

- As People Advisor, you’ll play a vital part in our success, supporting our employees with their HR queries so that they can focus on their own jobs
- Taking care of their issues, whether big or small, and making sure they get a great employee experience in every interaction with HR
- The People Advisory team for UK and Ireland is looking for a People Advisor to join our great team in Dublin, Ireland
- This role combines support of our Ireland warehouse as well as the office and requires presence on both sites
- You will play a pivotal role in the People Function organisation in Ireland
- Your role as People Advisor will be to solve the HR-related queries of our employees and leaders and make sure their interaction with HR results in a great experience
- Own people’s inquiries about HR policies and procedures, understand their needs, investigate options, seek solutions, and partner with other HR colleagues to resolve the inquiries
- Work in close connection with our site managers in Ireland to support with benefits, policies & procedures, advising and supporting employees during various workplace-related concerns and allegations, ensuring a fair and equitable work environment and appropriately resolving misconduct
- Actively work in Workday (our HR management system) and Service Now
- Guide and train employees and managers in the new HR systems and service delivery model
- Support the delivery of the HR Cycle with administrative tasks related to onboarding, annual performance management, job moves, exit, etc
- Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of various HR-related documents. Key documentation review responsibilities could include Employee Records, HR Policies & Procedures, Compliance Auditing, and Benefits & Compensation. Mitigate potential legal and compliance risks through diligent review and maintenance of documentation

Maersk is a Copenhagen-based integrated container logistics company. Originally known for its fleet of enormous ships, the company is now active in ocean and inland freight transformation and related services, including supply chain management and port operation.
Until 2022, it was the largest shipping line by container capacity, before being unseated by Mediterranean Shipping Company. This can be accounted to the strategic decision to shift its focus from shipping toward associated, more profitable services. This includes air freight, trucking, and selling logistics software.
This places Maersk in an exciting position for potential growth as it reinvents itself as a one-stop shop for every step of the supply chain. Other transformative initiatives include becoming net-zero by 2040, and more immediately ensuring 30% of ocean journeys are powered using sustainable fuels. These decarbonisation efforts not only ensure a greener future, but a more competitive one for global trade.
