What the job involves
- As a key member of the Field & Events team, you will manage Ramp’s budding community of customers and to strengthen brand loyalty, advocacy, and engagement
- You will work closely with Brand, Product, Customer Success, and People teams to design and execute strategies that engage the Ramp community and drive brand awareness
- Responsibilities include internal & external communications, content & speaker management, brand design coordination, event logistics, vendor management, staffing training and budget management
- This high-impact role requires creative thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive Ramp's brand presence and support our growth goals
- Own and execute Ramp’s community event strategy to drive brand awareness, engage the Ramp partner and customer community, and identify prospective employees
- Manage end-to-end program planning & execution; including deciding what events we host, driving new events programs and activations, maintaining an annual budget, and analyzing program results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging, promotion, deliverables, and tactics align with event goals
- Set a high quality bar for event experience and execution, and develop systems to maintain this bar as we enter our next phase of growth
- Develop a thought leadership strategy and support the selection and management of internal speakers and external guest speakers
- Establish success criteria and analyze event impact; prepare stakeholder and executive-level post-event follow up and make recommendations for improvement
- Build processes for repeatability and scalability of events activities including vendor partnerships to help us accommodate future growth
- Collaborate with Finance on budget, pipeline, and resource forecasting
- Provide onsite event management at our NY HQ event space and travel as needed (required multiple times per month)

Founded in 2019 and coming out of stealth in 2020, the company has already reached a valuation of a whopping $8.1 billion in early 2022. Its clients include several big-name companies including fast-growth health tech startup Ro, Planned Parenthood, and Truebill. 90% of its customers have made the switch from legacy players such as Expensify and Concur, showing that Ramp provides real customer value.
The team that built Ramp is the same one that launched the automated price tracking company Paribus before selling it to Capital One. It is now focused on scoping out more M&A opportunities and boosting its headcount to support investing in its software and going into new verticals.
