Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive or equivalent in B2B SaaS
- Strong understanding of e-commerce technologies and trends; ability to articulate complex concepts to customers
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers
- Competitive, with a strong desire to exceed quotas
- Willingness to guide, mentor, and delegate work to rising BDRs
- Willingness to travel to customer meetings and industry events (e.g., Shoptalk, Expo West)
Desirable
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, and Clay
- Prior startup experience
What the job involves
- We're a 20-person team with experience at companies like Amazon, Salesforce, Ramp, DocuSign, and Microsoft. We’ve raised over $10M from investors like Neo, Stripe, and angels such as Dave Habiger (CEO of JD Power, Chairman of Reddit)
- We’re soon moving to a beautiful new office in Boston. We work hard but also have fun together (at least one company retreat per year + frequent team dinners and outings)
- We’re looking for a hungry, results-driven Account Executive to fuel Remark’s next stage of growth and expansion into new markets like culinary, fashion, and beauty
- You’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals
- Expect close collaboration with our Head of Sales and CEO, with opportunities to shape our sales playbook, influence go-to-market strategy, and accelerate your career trajectory as we scale
Our take
With user reviews commonplace within eCommerce, it can be easy for consumers to get bogged down in contradictory or misleading advice when purchasing. Remark helps online shoppers make more informed decisions by pairing them with product experts - artists, musicians, athletes, makeup artists - empowering them to find the perfect buy for their needs.
Remark’s live chat platform not only allows users to query the product experts but also trains AI models on these experts. These chatbots can answer questions in the same style and with the same information as the product experts, thus ensuring somebody is always on hand to answer questions. Human experts are incentivised by earning a cut of each sale made through Remark.
The company mostly serves brands who integrate the platform into their online customer experiences. This is shaping up to be a lucrative market, as more brands shift their flagship stores to online rather than brick-and-mortar establishments. With at least 45 brands already using its platform, Remark is off to a good start, and an influx of Seed funding will support further product development.
