What the job involves

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our CoreWeave Kubernetes Service (CKS) team — the core of CoreWeave's infrastructure stack
In this role, you’ll help scale and evolve one of the largest Kubernetes environments in the industry
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll deliver impactful features, improve system performance and reliability, and grow into a key technical contributor
Design, develop, and support Kubernetes-based infrastructure that powers CoreWeave’s products at scale
Design and build applications and Kubernetes operators in Go
Create and maintain custom Kubernetes interfaces and orchestration tooling
Develop observability solutions using the Grafana ecosystem (e.g. , Loki, VictoriaMetrics) to monitor reliability and performance
Enable our customers’ AI workloads to run better on our cloud by developing differentiating features within our Kubernetes stack
Contribute to CoreWeave’s leadership in AI-focused open source projects
Participate in incident response and on-call rotations, contributing to a culture of operational excellence
Collaborate across teams to integrate platform capabilities and support internal product needs
Continuously seek areas of technical improvement, advocating for performance, security, and reliability enhancements

You demonstrate ownership over technically-complex and broadly impactful projects and are a self-starter in identifying and leading these opportunities
You propose improvements to team processes regularly and help increase platform reliability and developer productivity
You mentor junior team members and contribute meaningfully to team culture and technical discussions
You collaborate effectively across teams and raise the technical bar by sharing knowledge and driving best practices

Our take

Many cloud service providers can suffer from slow prediction speeds when they are used for data modeling. CoreWeave solves this problem with its specialized cloud service provider.

CoreWeave reduces prediction times and makes service requests faster and more efficient. This, in turn, cuts cloud costs considerably. This has proven to be a strong draw for many companies, with CoreWeave signing a lucrative partnership with GPU heavyweight NVIDIA as well as partnering with BitOoda, which has allowed it to expand its operations to the financial market.

However, in 2023 it closed three very significant rounds of funding (Series B and debt and secondary extensions), which is being invested into expanding its US-based data centers, opening two new ones in the coming year. The question remains whether, despite 2023's big investments in the sector, CoreWeave can maintain this momentum and whether generative AI's stock will continue to rise.
