Role
Who you are
- Current University Student: Eligible for an on-site internship with the ability to establish an internship agreement
- Passion for CSR and Sustainability: A strong interest and commitment to CSR and sustainability initiatives
- Object-Oriented Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of object-oriented languages such as C# or Java
- Technical Foundations: Basic understanding of software development principles and the ability to work within an agile development environment
- SQL Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for data management and querying
- Detail-Oriented and Analytical: Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data accurately
- Global Mindset: Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
What the job involves
- The Discovery Internship Program will enable you to discover the most trusted sustainability intelligence platform and see how the different teams are working together in a truly CSR business environment
- We are looking for a curious and proactive intern to join our Development Team for a 3-month internship
- This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, test automation, and exploring AI tools to enhance processes
- You will work closely with experienced developers in an agile environment, contributing to key projects that drive technical improvements and innovation
- Enhance Code Quality: Support the team by implementing code fixes focused on improving coverage, security and maintainability, contributing to better performance indications (KPIs)
- Support Test Automation: Assist in developing and improving test automation to strengthen the testing pyramid, ensuring software quality and efficiency
- Knowledge Management Contribution: Help capture and organize knowledge from the development team, facilitating better collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Experiment with AI Tools: Explore and experiment with AI-based development tools to improve workflows, enhance process and support innovation
- Working hours: 40 hours per week

With an increasing drive for businesses to be more transparent with their global carbon impact, companies need to find a way to collate their data. This data can then be used to inform business decisions and aid companies in their mission to decrease their carbon emissions. EcoVadis provides business sustainability ratings with the aim of creating a global marketplace where sustainability intelligence influences every business decision.
EcoVadis has devised a criteria based on international sustainable development standards. The criteria considers specific challenges, geographical location and company size to create its rating, ensuring its ratings reflect the company as fairly as possible. The main objective of the rating is to measure the quality of a company’s CSR management system through its policies, actions, and results.
This concept is increasingly pertinent given the emphasis placed on sustainability by consumers, and so EcoVadis are smartly targeting this key area. It currently operates with 90,000 companies of all sizes across more than 200 industries in 160 countries, highlighting the importance of the ratings it provides.
