Opna – formerly known as SALT – is a climate financing platform that empowers corporates to discover, finance, and manage pre-assessed carbon removal and reduction projects to accelerate the journey to net zero. By enabling companies to reach their carbon goals, Opna is helping play a major role in the global fight against climate change.
The company connects corporates with fully vetted, project developers, saving them time and money sourcing projects. Furthermore, Opna helps businesses to easily monitor their portfolio of projects over time through key performance indicators and risk reporting.
The company closed a significant seed funding round in September 2023. The capital will be used to boost connections by increasing brand awareness as well as expanding the number and types of carbon projects available for financing. With only 7% of the nearly 5200 companies worldwide that have committed to achieving net zero by 2050 showing signs of reaching their goals, Opna will play a vital role in getting businesses back on track.
