The work we do at Suvera really makes a difference for people living with long-term health conditions. The frequent feedback we receive from partners, our clinicians, patients, and team members is really rewarding.

Given that there are a lot of problems to be solved in this space, I am always amazed that my colleagues here at Suvera use data to make decisions. I also appreciate the emotional intelligence and empathy that comes with the sector.

My colleagues are generally very skilled in their roles. Individuals are also interested in thinking how to improve existing processes. The small company feel of the company even as it scales allows intelligent people with intelligent ideas to share these and make improvements to various processes.

Decisions made within the data team are data driven in most companies I have worked in. However, this cannot always be said for decisions made by other teams (even if they request analysis from the data team). At Suvera, there is both an interest to discover more using data and also to trust the data team to be useful in the decision making process.

Suvera is a 'work from home first' company and it has truly lived up to this. This has allowed me to take stay-cations and only come to the office as it suited me right from my first week. This is very helpful in creating a happy work/travel balance and has also made me feel trusted to make the best decisions for my own work.

I had the best onboarding ever! It was very well organised, I was given time to absorb a lot of things, including intensive training that is required of a CQC registered organisation. Importantly, my manager was extremely thorough in setting out expectations for 30:30:90 days and articulating what is expected of me in my role and how my work interfaces with other parts of the company. People here are very quick to recognise when you do anything that has improved a process or added value in any way. When I left my last role, I did not think that it was going to be easy to match the camaraderie and team focus but I have to say, the culture is incredibly inclusive and it is very organic. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience.

I met the CEO in my interview process and was impressed at his leadership style. He is a thinker, he talks about sustainable growth - so important in startup world - and he talks about creativity in problem solving and fixing processes. He's very approachable, always warm and very considered. I feel that the business is being run in a very smart, human and thoughtful way.

My colleagues are very quick to tell you what you should do more of and if they think your work has made a difference to them. This makes for an energised, team-driven and highly collaborative environment that I know I can thrive in!

The first company I've worked at that I feel considers employee wellbeing properly. 40 days annual leave plus bank holidays is a standard for all technical roles, all of which is actively encouraged to be used. All teams are involved in a continuous discovery process and are able to influence/provide input for the product roadmap. A shared level of understanding of the technical, design, product and business development needs helps to ensure we align to our company values of building in a scalable way.

Working alongside our NHS GP partners, even getting the opportunity to meet some of the staff on the ground, allows us to understand what the UK healthcare sector is facing and gives us the context necessary to create the best solutions to these problems. It's so satisfying to observe how my team's and my own work has improved how well our product works and how well all of our inputs are valued both internally and by our partners.

The work we do at Suvera focuses on creating a cohesive digital experience for patients, and creating a workflow for clinical staff that is easy to use. But it's also great to work somewhere that builds digital solutions without taking away the human aspect of medical care

As a small tech team, we have a flat hierarchy which is most well-embodied in the fact that engineers of all levels are given the opportunity to lead on projects. This gives us all the chance to improve our technical and leadership skills, but also the autonomy to improve our codebase where we see fit and decide where our engineering power is best targeted.
