Role
Who you are
- 3-5 years of experience developing email marketing programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field
- Great attention to detail
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or HubSpot, and CRM tools like Salesforce
- Experience creating and managing dynamic content for personalized campaigns
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email is preferred
- Strong project management and eagerness to learn new skills
- Creative and empathetic thinker; you care deeply about our customers and can build precise targeting as well as delightful, on-brand experiences
- Enjoy problem-solving and testing first-of-a-kind initiatives
- Experience with multi-variate testing
- SQL/analytics experience is a plus
- Copywriting skills with a strong focus on B2B communications
What the job involves
- SmithRx is looking for a dynamic and resourceful email marketer to manage our prospect and customer email communication to brokers, employers, and members
- SmithRx’s marketing team is a small but mighty data-driven and growth-focused function bringing brand, analytics, user insights, and experimentation together to develop the SmithRx brand and build the foundation of a future growth engine
- This person will work cross-functionally with marketing, data, sales, and account management to collect requirements, manage asset production, and build the emails and targeting for each program
- Driving email performance aligned with key top-line business KPIs such as pipeline creation, win rate, and customer retention
- Monitoring and maintaining email deliverability and sender reputation to ensure optimal campaign performance
- Project management of email programs from start to finish
- Creating responsive live-text and image-based emails, including (but not limited to) dynamic content blocks, merge fields, UTM parameters, and other customization resources
- Designing scalable, automated nurture programs that drive long-term engagement across our database
- Applying email best practices and rigorous testing to ensure that conversion metrics are met and our brand is communicated effectively
- Partnering with design and content teams to develop campaign assets that align with our brand guidelines
- Utilizing Marketo to build, ship, and analyze email sends with the support of Knak for email building and approvals
- Continuously analyzing, scrutinizing, and testing hypotheses to drive results, including target segmentation and A/B creative testing
- Owning email QA from audience targeting and design rendering to email functionality
- Communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders across the organization on email projects, ensuring accuracy and on-time deliverability

PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) save payers and patients 40% to 50% on prescription drug and related medical costs in the US, compared to what they would spend without them. It’s generally accepted, though, that PBMs are working for profit and not solely on the customers benefit.
SmithRx is a company looking to reduce complications in the current system with its innovative PBM structure. It uses its cloud-based technology to present the most cost effective options transparently to self-insured businesses, supporting them in getting the lowest cost drugs they can, as well as making the transition to these alternatives seamless.
It does this by partnering with innovative drug companies, as well as applying coupons and making use of available savings and assistance programs. As the company does not take economics from the supply chain, it is able to work for its customers with no hidden agendas. Having recently secured funding, the company is looking towards continued growth as well as pursuing leadership in the sector.
