Senior Analyst, ExTrac

• At least five years of professional experience in intelligence analysis, disinformation analysis, strategic communications, international security, international relations, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the Middle East, including key actors, regional dynamics, emerging trends, and extremist movements.
• Proficiency in written Arabic.
• Demonstrable experience applying methodological frameworks to online ecosystems (e.g., topic modelling, sentiment analysis, network analysis, OSINT).
• Strong written communication skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality, policy-relevant outputs under pressure.
• Experience in proofreading, editing, and reviewing reports.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple workstreams.
• Comfortable managing a small international team across different time zones.

Desirable

• Monitor and assess political, security, and socio-economic developments globally, with a primary focus on the Middle East.
• Conduct daily monitoring of Arabic and English media, including news outlets, social media, and official statements.
• Track non-state armed group activity, governance dynamics, and regional diplomacy.
• Identify emerging trends, threats, and narratives within extremist networks.
• Monitor and flag new actors for the purpose of data curation.
• Support the production of daily, weekly, monthly, flash, and deep-dive reporting, with a focus on the Middle East and extremist groups.
• Support the team lead with editing and reviewing reports.
• Assist in managing a small team of analysts and directing workflow.
• Label and edit data entries in the Data Studio.
• Translation of documents if in possession of relevant language skills.
