What the job involves
- You will analyze the accuracy of our techniques for classifying results and identifying vulnerabilities.
- You will evaluate the relative merits of alternative approaches identified by the team.
- You will identify and develop further improved methods for classifying results and identifying vulnerabilities.
- You will identify new insights and visualisations from our data that would benefit our customers.
- You will design and implement improvements to data pipelines and labelling systems that facilitate ongoing quality.
- You will advise the R&D and engineering team on good data engineering as well as data science practices.
- You will work with the wider technical team to implement your proposals.
- You will clearly communicate complex data insights to customers and colleagues.

Mindgard is enabling enterprise businesses to transition into the new AI world, with a platform that provides threat analysis, detection of malicious actors, and automated red teaming and penetration testing.
This is crucial for companies, as AI poses new risks to cyber that traditional security tools cannot yet detect. Visibility into AI attack surfaces remains limited, and Mindgard simplifies the complexity of model assessment through integrations with common MLOps and SecOps tools, making it easy and actionable to use. Its attack-driven defence capabilities mean that enterprises can map their AI attack surfaces, measure and validate AI risk whilst continuously defending their AI agents.
Mindgard is a deep tech spin-out from Lancaster University, and the team comprises of world-leading scientists and engineers in cyber security & AI systems. It's already being used by key intelligence organisations globally, and the company successfully raised funding in 2024. This is being used to expand operations in the UK and US, ensuring Mindgard stays at the forefront of the ever-evolving AI security space
