Role
Who you are
- Bachelors Degree or HR certificate and related equivalent experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources with deep expertise in organizational design and evolution, workforce planning, and deep expertise in ideally one or more areas such as learning and development, employee engagement and workforce analytics
- You have 3+ years of experience partnering directly with a top-level engineering or technology leader (CTO, SVP or Chief Engineering Officer) as a people business partner
- You have led organizational evolution and change management initiatives—you understand and can articulate various engineering org models that may apply over time at scale
- You have a passion for working with engineering leaders and teams
- You have led performance enablement and talent programs including compensation/equity cycles and tools such as 9-box
- You have used employee engagement tools to measure, analyze, present and improve employee engagement (examples: Lattice, CultureAmp, Glint, Visier)
- You have directly partnered with engineering and other technology managers supporting in various organizational management and people programs
- You have strong employee relations experience, including investigations, and knowledge of applicable laws and compliance
- You articulate and demonstrate your passion for AI through use of various tools and constant learning
- You have a strong understanding of HR policies, processes, and various legal requirements to ensure compliance and operational excellence
- You have a passion for workflows, efficiency, and consistency, paired with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- You have demonstrated the ability to align company needs with HR best practices, while crafting frameworks that are tailored to the company’s unique culture and growth trajectory
- You use discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive information and making decisions that affect both individuals and the organization
- You have an understanding through experience of both building from the ground up and strategically scaling programs as the company grows
- You have a proactive problem-solving mindset, anticipating challenges and addressing potential risks before they escalate
- You take a data-driven approach to decision-making, using both employee feedback and metrics to inform various initiatives and measure their impact
- You have proven experience in building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive alignment and results
- You have excellent communication skills; spoken and written
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment
- You have demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
What the job involves
- As a Senior People Business Partner (Engineering) at True Anomaly, you will partner with our Engineering senior leadership to shape, define and execute on people strategies in support of business objectives, including a focus on developing leaders and teams, driving organizational development and effectiveness, engaging our employees, fostering our culture, and prioritizing the highest impact solutions
- Lead initiatives to enable a culture that resonates with True Anomaly’s values: Be The Offset, What Would It Take, It’s The People
- Deeply learn and understand our business to provide insight and leadership into organizational effectiveness, talent planning, and talent development
- Be a proactive thought partner and coach to engineering leaders and their teams to grow leadership capabilities at all levels
- Proactively identify and address critical organizational and people issues and remove barriers impeding the success of the business
- Build future leadership bench and upscale capabilities through development of top talent and strategic hires
- Ensure the implementation of optimal organization design to enable the leadership team and the organization to scale
- Use business acumen to develop and deliver talent strategies, programs, and operating mechanisms (i.e. performance, employee surveys, talent planning) that align with company and team needs
- Drive career pathing and professional development initiatives, creating opportunities for growth across all levels of the organization
- Deliver, in partnership with our broader people team, people programs to the business, as well as lead unique people initiatives and projects
- Partner with leadership teams to drive analysis, insights, and improvement in key people metrics, including employee engagement, retention, leadership effectiveness, eNPS, etc
- Handle employee relations issues, including working with leaders to identify performance issues and implement appropriate measures to provide employees the opportunity to succeed
- Near Term Projects You Will Lead in the next 6 months
- Partner with senior engineering leadership to design and implement design an engineering organizational structure to enable scaling and collaboration between product lines. Lead and collaborate with business stakeholders on workforce planning initiatives to forecast and prioritize hiring needs
- Assess existing leadership program for engineering leaders for efficiency, and make appropriate iterations to support continued development and leadership bench

True Anomaly is a space tech startup composed of former military operators and engineers. The Colorado-based company is focused on building spacecraft and software solutions designed to secure U.S. commercial and military interests in space. It has already developed a fully-integrated platform with seamless satellite, navigation, and data-capture technologies that provide security and training for the quickly evolving space market.
Founded in 2022, True Anomaly has already designed its first spacecraft, the Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle, which can be used to train operators on the ground or as intelligence-gathering tools against adversarial spacecraft. Alongside this, the startup has built a 35,000-square-foot facility in Denver to manufacture the Jackals.
With impressive capital gained in 2023 and 2025, the company validated the Jackal's technical and operational capabilities and made the necessary investments to scale production. And with its most recent capital injection, the company is ready to fund space missions and further scale its operations.
