Role
Who you are
- Relevant business development, partnerships, trading desk, or client management experience in traditional finance, fintech, or trading infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, API integrations, and trading workflows; familiarity with decentralized markets a plus
- Ability to speak credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders; excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with a network of institutional and fintech contacts and the ability to build deep, long-term relationships
Desirable
- Prior experience at a major fintech, exchange, or HFT/market-making firm
- Technical experience working on crypto protocols, DeFi, or open source software
- Deeply integrated with DeFi ecosystem partners and trading protocols

What the job involves
- We're looking for a strategic enterprise business development leader to expand the reach of the Uniswap Protocol and grow structured products across institutional and fintech partners
- You'll own high-impact relationships, translate market needs into product strategy, and be a key driver of Uniswap's API ecosystem
- Execute go-to-market strategies to expand API adoption among traditional financial institutions, fintech companies, asset managers, and trading firms
- Own and drive the commercial lifecycle with strategic partners: proactive outreach, relationship development, onboarding, and ensuring long-term success
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, surfacing impactful partnerships by leveraging the different Uniswap products and protocol
- Translate client trading, liquidity, and execution needs into actionable product insights; work closely with internal Product and Engineering leaders to shape features and enhancements
- Analyze competitive market trends and behaviors to identify unique opportunities that increase protocol volume, active liquidity management, and long-term engagement
- Represent Uniswap professionally at industry events, conferences, and in partner meetings to amplify the brand and secure new business opportunities
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Legal, and Engineering to ensure smooth integrations, contractual alignment, and client success
- Develop and lead team members through structured mentorship, deal reviews, and continuous feedback, raising the bar for execution and professionalism
Our take
Decentralised finance (DeFi) has quickly emerged as a “killer app” for blockchain technology. Within the past two years or so, an ecosystem of hundreds of DeFi applications has developed on Ethereum — with use cases ranging from lending to trading to insurance — bringing permissionless access to financial services to anyone with an internet connection.
Out of these applications, Uniswap - originated by Uniswap Labs - has become the most actively used. It is the largest decentralised exchange (DEX), allowing anyone to create a market for anything, rather than relying on specific teams to be market-makers in an exchange.
Despite the behemoth size of its star asset, Uniswap Labs does not make money from Uniswap, as it is just a protocol with the 0.3% fee going to reward liquidity providers. The company instead relies on adjacent ways to drive revenue, leveraging its massive influence in the DeFi space to do so.
The company has secured impressive funding, including a 2022 Series B round which represented one of the largest raises in the DeFi sector's history. Now boasting a valuation of $1.66 billion, it intends to invest in expanding operations to bring Uniswap to “even more people across the world.”
