Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree (English, journalism, or other relevant area of study preferred)
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience (Beauty, personal care, or Baby Brand experience preferred)
- Online and e-commerce copywriting experience
- Superior writing and proofreading skills with an excellent command of grammar
- Highly organized and communicative
- Attentive to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Have experience in a digital-first and B&M consumer products copywriting
- You thrive working under deadlines and with multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative and ambitious: You stay up on the industry trends, inspire teammates, and have a strong work ethic
- Curious and flexible: You take on new data, products and categories as a positive challenge and speak to them with authenticity and joy
What the job involves
- Honest is looking for a Mid-Level Copywriter to help deliver our messaging across our Beauty, Baby and Personal Care brands
- You’ll be responsible for the creation of holistic messaging across all channels to build our brand, increase awareness and drive consumer engagement/conversion
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to develop engaging messaging for all online and offline marketing assets
- Create relevant and meaningful communications across marketing channels, including email, social, blog, paid media and d2c + retailer website
- Write inspiring, original and engaging copy for product descriptions
- Assist in editing and proofreading all brand copy

Honest sells clean, sustainable, well-designed products with a focus on health, wellness and the mother and baby market. Driven by a responsibility to people and the planet - and responding to the calls for sustainability by the more conscious consumer - the company champions diverse, inclusive and ethical practices such as label transparency and 100% recycled packaging.
Although the company has seen successes, and went public in 2021, it also experienced a slew of class action lawsuits over potentially harmful ingredients, in strange and stark contrast to the safe products it intended to sell. Many of its offerings have since been reformulated, and the company itself has restructured its strategy, seeming to put it back on good footing despite the rocky road at its back.
