- We’re seeking a forward-thinking QA Manager who thrives on solving challenges through collaboration and technology
- Proven success in leading QA organizations and driving cultural transformation within medium-to-large teams
- Expertise in developing tools and frameworks that empower engineers to integrate quality into their workflows
- Strong understanding of privacy assurance, compliance, and risk management, particularly in regulated industries
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- A passion for modern QA practices, including automation, scalable testing methodologies, and continuous improvement
- A track record of influencing cross-functional leaders to adopt innovative approaches to quality and compliance
- Strong knowledge in bugs management processes
- Technical expertise in automation strategies and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Appium, Cypress), with strong experience in CI/CD integration
- Ability to focus on proactive prevention rather than reactive processes, driving organizational alignment around quality goals
What the job involves
- As the Compliance and Quality Assurance Director, you will redefine how quality is perceived and executed. Your mission will be to embed quality into the DNA of our teams, driving a mindset shift where engineers take ownership of quality, supported by world-class tools and systems built by the QA team
- Define and implement a modern QA strategy focused on coaching, mentoring, and advocacy
- Promote a quality-first mindset, ensuring engineers take ownership of quality while QA acts as mentors and enablers
- Lead and develop a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the QA organization
- Provide regular updates on compliance, quality metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
- Partner with engineering teams to align QA efforts with product development goals from the earliest design stages
- Build scalable frameworks, tools, and analytics to empower engineers to test efficiently and effectively
- Develop automated solutions for monitoring production quality, compliance, and auditing
- Continuously improve testing infrastructure to minimize bugs while enhancing development velocity
- Ensure the QA team delivers actionable insights without creating bottlenecks or unnecessary overhead
- Advocate for QA as a shared responsibility, challenging traditional testing roles
- Educate teams on adopting practices that focus on preventing bugs rather than reactive fixes
- Drive adoption of a zero-open-bugs mindset, emphasizing scalable solutions over manual processes
- Work with Legal and Security teams to stay ahead of changes in regulations and industry guidelines
- Create tools and processes for traceability, auditing, and synchronized logs to ensure compliance
- Ensure privacy guidelines are integrated into development workflows without disrupting productivity
- Help define and communicate compliance policies for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business needs

Healthcare platform Docplanner has become a major player in the European healthtech market in the decade since it was founded. The company offers a suite of administrative tools for over 22M patients and around 2M doctors worldwide, including workflow digitisation and appointment booking services. The company currently operate in 13 countries, hit Unicorn status in 2021, and has been riding a recent wave of digital transformation and workforce overburdening in the healthcare sector which has spurred on demand for precisely the kind of services they provide. So it’s safe to say business is going well.
What is most compelling about Docplanner’s business journey has been its long-brewing competition with their direct competitor, the fellow Unicorn and better-funded Doctolib. The tête-à-tête with this French/German rival has seen both parties making aggressive European expansion with national acquisitions - Doctolib in Italy, France, and Germany; Docplanner in Turkey, Poland, Spain, and Latin America. With Docplanner’s 2021 acquisition of German parallel platform Jameda, however, they are making moves on Doctolib’s home turf. The company has also acquired MyDr, a leading Polish tech solutions provider.
These broad consolidation moves represent a maturation of the healthtech market which will serve both competitors well. Docplanner is certainly a key and aggressive contender in this race - and this company isn't going anywhere any time soon.
