Who you are
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
- Professional Background: 3+ years of experience in Product Management AND 1+ year of Software Engineering
- Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, and a proven ability to manage complex technology projects across functional boundaries. Experience with SQL and QA best practices are a must
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of clinical informatics applications and experience in healthcare settings (life sciences, pharma, health systems, and payers) is preferred
- Direct experience in healthcare settings within the United States is a bonus

- Commure + Athelas is seeking a Technical Product Manager to enhance our digital health product portfolio
- In this dynamic role, you will focus on developing and implementing technical solutions and clinical products that address the complexities of healthcare billing and digital medicine
- You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, development, and implementation, ensuring our products effectively meet the needs of our users in real-world settings
- Hands-On Product Development: You will have the unique opportunity to be on the ground, directly at healthcare facilities, understanding firsthand the challenges and requirements, which will drive the development and implementation of solutions tailored to these complex environments
- Leadership and Technical Expertise: You will lead a team of engineers; therefore, deep technical knowledge is crucial
- You won't be directly involved in hiring, but you will guide and inspire your team through complex product build outs
- Executive-Level Communication: Regular interaction with top executives such as COOs, CSOs, and CIOs of major healthcare systems will require excellent communication skills
- You must effectively convey complex ideas and persuade stakeholders to align with your strategic visions
- Product Strategy and Implementation: Develop and oversee the execution of technical and clinical product strategies
- This includes creating innovative solutions for healthcare billing complexities and clinical product offerings, aligning them with overarching business goals
- Customer Engagement and Deployment: Act as the primary product contact for clients, understanding their specific needs and deploying solutions that integrate seamlessly into their operations
- Ensure products are tailored to real-world use and deliver measurable benefits
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Clinical teams to define and prioritize product requirements, develop project plans, manage key deliverables, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the product lifecycle
- Operational and Quality Oversight: Establish and maintain rigorous processes and workflows for product operations and quality assurance, including metrics and OKRs to monitor and drive business growth
- Market Insights and Feedback Integration: Serve as the voice of the customer internally, gathering and integrating feedback to refine and adapt product offerings
- Develop tools and metrics to measure product effectiveness and customer satisfaction

Gathering data on patients is vital to provide healthcare workers with the information that they need to reduce repeat hospitalizations, but retrieving such data requires patient monitoring through expensive medical equipment. This ultimately reduces spaces in hospitals and clinics when patients could otherwise be cared for from home, presenting an increased demand for remote patient monitoring (RPM) technology.
Athelas develops RPM hardware and software platforms, helping the healthcare industry monitor the health data of patients without the need for them to be present in hospitals or clinics. The company's solutions include remote devices for blood diagnostics, sensor-driven pillboxes, and glucometers, which connect through software applications for doctors, EHR integrations, and a unified RPM platform.
Whilst the company faces competition from other RPM platforms, Athelas stands out by providing a comprehensive range of hardware monitoring devices and software applications, ultimately contributing toward an all-in-one RPM ecosystem.
