Who you are
- Our rapidly growing company is looking for highly talented and motivated people to join us
- With hands-on experience across the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and a variety of technologies including AWS, Python, Node.js, and Kubernetes, you'll be integral to delivering high-quality solutions
- This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a passion for building efficient systems that add real value to customers and the business
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to design software components which are reliable, maintainable, secure, scalable and extensible
- Ability to simplify complex problems into clean code and tests which are easy to understand
- Good communications, problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Deep knowledge of my primary programming language and development environment and a strong grasp of the idioms and patterns of my language
- Ability to implement secure coding practices, threat modelling, and data protection
- Above all, Zenobē is looking for collaborative, flexible, empathetic people who are interested in creating and promoting practical routes to a zero carbon world
- Must have hands-on experience as a Software Engineer in a cross-functional team
- Must have experience using Agile/Lean techniques
- Must have experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Must have experience working in fully remote teams
- Must have experience with some of the following: AWS, Python, Node.js, Typescript, Javascript, Streaming Architectures, Data Lakes, Kubernetes, Serverless, Microservices
- Should have experience with CDK, Terraform, or other IAC tooling
- Should be familiar with Git, Slack, MS Office
- Should have experience with TDD, DevSecOps, and ADRs
- Could have familiarity with Big Data, Machine Learning, and AI
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable taking part in out of hours on call support rota
- Must be able to travel in the UK up to once a month

Working towards building a net-zero society, Zenobē Energy owns and operates stationary battery storage assets. Its circular battery economy model is transforming the way businesses use power in order to reduce costs and carbon emission, protecting the environment.
The company, whilst a market leader in battery storage, has also become central in the electric vehicle fleet market, with an estimated 25% market share of the UK operational EV bus sector. Working with bus operators including National Express and Stagecoach, Zenobē is aiding the rapid uptake of EV buses, thereby ensuring that legally binding climate change targets are being met.
Previous funding rounds enabled the acceleration of the UK’s transition to a green road transport system. In 2024, Zenobē secured debt funding from Natwest, Siemens Financial, and Rabobank among others to support its ambitious decarbonisation projects in Scotland.
