Company mission
To empower data teams to build and manage pipelines faster for AI and analytics - at scale.
Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of full-cycle new-business sales experience in complex technology solution selling, with a consistent record of exceeding $1M+ ARR quotas and closing six-figure deals with net-new logos
- Fluency in a sales methodology such as MEDDIC, Force Management, or Value Selling, and experience navigating enterprise contracts and RFP processes
- A demonstrated hunter mentality: a track record of independently sourcing, developing, and closing new customers in greenfield or underpenetrated territory, with disciplined pipeline management
- The ability to quickly translate technical challenges into a business value proposition that resonates at every level of a prospect's organization
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, consistently meeting or exceeding new-business targets
- Domain expertise in the data and AI landscape strongly preferred; industry expertise in a relevant vertical is a plus
- A scrappy, self-starter mindset, comfortable building without a fully paved path and willing to collaborate closely with a newer team as we establish how we win
- Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. We hire for potential, not just experience. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be in touch
What the job involves
- This role sits on our Enterprise Acquisition team — a dedicated new-logo function focused exclusively on winning net-new enterprise accounts
- This isn't a book-of-business or renewals role: you'll be hunting greenfield territory, breaking into accounts with no prior Matillion footprint, and building pipeline from scratch — as part of a newer team still establishing its playbook
- Own the full new-logo sales cycle — from self-generated pipeline through closing six-figure deals with net-new enterprise accounts
- Build and execute a territory capture strategy in partnership with your SDR, marketing, and channel partners to maximize new customer acquisition
- Develop relationships with technology and consulting partners, positioning Maia's value to open doors into new accounts
- Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and solution architecture, continually sharpening your craft as a new-business hunter
Our take
In order to make the world’s data more useful, Matillion offers a data integration and transformation platform. Essentially, the company turns raw data into an analytics-ready asset to help companies make better decisions. In 2025 it launched Maia, the industry’s first AI data automation platform.
As organisations search for ways to harness data for business intelligence, the market for Matillion’s offerings is expanding, and the company has assumed a forefront position. Its strong reputation has secured large enterprise clients like FOX, Sony, Slack and Cisco.
The company is well-funded and boasts a strong valuation, showing that it has cemented its place in the sector. With Maia, Matillion proves it is able to adapt to the evolving business data landscape, delivering expert AI agents that can handle time-consuming data work and free up teams to focus on delivering business goals faster.
