To empower humanity to make an impact through trees.
A worldwide increase in awareness of the negative effects that fossil fuels have on the planet has led to many companies and individuals actively attempting to reduce their carbon footprint. However, less attention is being put on the importance of trees and natural habitats to the planet, which are routinely destroyed by large brands within clothing and other industries.
Tentree sells sustainable clothing and accessories, aiming to provide organic clothing that minimizes its carbon footprint whilst contributing to sustainability projects. The company achieves this by promising to plant ten trees for every product sold, manufacturing its products through sustainable materials at ethical factories, and collaborating with habitat preservers such as National Geographic.
Whilst other brands claim to plant trees whenever they sell a product, Tentree stands out by existing primarily as a sustainable B Corporation helping habitat preservation, whilst also planting trees to counteract its carbon footprint. The company takes this further by ensuring that the materials used and the manufacturing process are carbon-minimal, ultimately contributing to the company becoming fully carbon-negative.
