Role
Who you are
- Prior experience as a Pre-sales / Solution Engineer or a background in Product Management with significant exposure to customers and prospect conversations
- Practical experience with at least one programming language: Ideally Python, Ruby, Javascript, Swift/Objective-C, Java
- A clear understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns
- The ability to help developers successfully integrate with the Onfido platform
- A strong knowledge of security principles and data protection regulation
- Experience being embedded in the sales team whilst working cross-functionally with Account Management, Strategy and Expansion, and Product
- Experience in cloud or SaaS technology organisations
Desirable
- Familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM), Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM), or Digital Identity Verification (IDV)
- Experience in the payments, cybersecurity, RegTech/Fintech, or financial services industries
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, with any additional European languages being advantageous
What the job involves
- Onfido’s Solutions Engineers translate complex business identity problems into practical, technical design solutions
- Day to day, you’ll partner with our Sales teams, applying your technical knowledge to the discovery of customer workflows and platforms
- You’ll offer intelligent solutions to customer pain points, drawing on our expert identity product offering and that of our partners
- Interacting confidently with C-suite clients and prospects from the fastest-growing FinTechs to Fortune 500 / FTSE 100 companies, you’ll position Onfido as the identity partner of choice
- Bridge the gap between selling Onfido’s services and helping customers trial and integrate our solution
- Support RFPs and create workflows to ensure RFPs are documented and optimised between Sales and Engineering teams
- Assist with the development of demos, trials and sector-specific presentationsProactively support customers with the design and integration of Onfido API/SDKs
- Project manage trials & customer integration progress together with our account managers

Onfido allows businesses to verify a user’s identity automatically using AI to verify uploaded identity documents against a range of biometric markers and online footprint metrics.
As a disruptor in a field sorely needing innovation, Onfido has built a commanding market lead. However it now faces increased competition from the likes of Stripe, Persona and IDNow. Onfido has maintained its market lead through strong, focused R&D, winning it multiple awards including the CogX Best AI product in FinTech for 2022.
Onfido has seen a staggering growth in revenue over the past few years and its customers include the likes of President's Choice Financial, Revolut and Deliveroo. Having raised a large amount of investment funding and achieved sustained profitability, it has now been acquired by Entrust, a leader in payments, identities, and data security. This new chapter for Onfido will open its services up to Entrust's large customer base, a mutually beneficial move.
