The payments industry has exploded in the last decade as eCommerce continues to grow as the use of cash falls. Checkout.com are building the go-to platform for all things related to payments, such as accepting transactions, processing them and detecting fraud. They've secured a steady stream of funding from top investors like Tiger Global Management, and are the strategic payments partner for some of the best known fast-moving brands globally such as Patreon, Dashlane, Udacity, Wise, Sony Electronics, and Klarna.
They focus on large merchants and try to make their product as customisable as possible, so that companies integrate Checkout.com as an infrastructure partner in their product. This increases the stickiness of the product and creates many opportunities for them to generate revenue.
Checkout.com have high quality proprietary technology (their platform has been designed from the outset so they can easily deliver incremental services as they expand their offering) and claim to offer the most comprehensive cross-border payment solution for digital commerce.

From day one, the people in the New York office have been warm and welcoming. I came in without payments experience, and I experienced an outpouring of support from those who were willing to answer my questions and take time to help me get up to speed. Everyone I've worked with in our other global offices has brought the same level of warmth!

Between manager feedback, team support and our #ThankYou slack channel, I truly feel like great work is recognized at Checkout.com. I also feel like we all have great access to leadership and various projects that give us exposure to different facets of the business.

As the company is growing so fast, there's plenty of opportunities to learn and take on more responsibilities. You're encouraged to step out of your comfort zone and I've learned so much.

I have been at CKO for the past 6 years and I have seen how we have grown from a company of 70+ people to 700+ people today. I stayed at CKO for so long because the more we grew as a company, the more the tasks became challenging and everyday was a new challenge/task. My job was never a routine for the past years.

We celebrate all festivities and and our culture differences at CKO. And for us celebrating an event mean an opportunity to be together, to learn more about each other and to understand each other more. The more we understand more about each other, the better we can work together as a team and go forward in daily challenges.

Since I started at Checkout.com 2 years ago, until now it's crazy how quickly my team and the company as a whole grew, giving everyone the opportunity to learn, develop and progress at a light-speed pace. Personally I went from a single contributor to recruiting for my own team, and helping out in the process so many other departments and making a difference at the end of the day.

I feel that big challenges give the best rewards, and Checkout.com is the perfect example for it. I know that no effort is going by unrecognised, that's one of the reason why we have the Hero Awards, which I actually got the chance to experience for myself, but also having managers recognising the value that one brings either though company announcements or over a one on one catchup.

One of the reasons I love working at Checkout.com is because we have an unreal level of diversity. Only in Dubai office there are over 9 nationalities (and counting) and the rest of the offices aren't further away. To celebrate uniqueness and also include everyone we have different activities, such as monthly breakfast (that changes each time e.g Italian breakfast or French breakfast), but also communities and clubs that connect us across the world, such as women@checkout, book club, pub quiz, etc.

My manager has always been keen to focus on what I want to gain and learn from my time at Checkout. We've talked through an individual progression framework that focuses on my personal journey, whether that be a manager or to develop more skills in my role. We also have access to hundreds of online learning resources.

The one thing I immediately noticed at Checkout was the diversity of the team. The people and culture team have worked so hard to make sure our working environment is inclusive and diverse. There are a plethora of internal communities for different cultures and backgrounds with which shows that everyone is welcome.

Checkout is constantly conscious of our mental health and wellbeing. There are regular sessions to help with both the mental and physical. My manager is always checking up on how I'm doing, especially due to the pandemic, and we have monthly Peakon surveys to temperature check how we're feeling.

I always feel comfortable giving my honest opinion (even if it’s constructively critical). This goes for working with anyone, at any level of the business - not just my direct team. I think at Checkout.com we work collaboratively not for the sake of it, but because we believe more perspectives can genuinely add value to the work.

Getting to build things with my colleagues is one of the things I love most about working at Checkout.com. People are very passionate about their specialisms, and really do believe in the work we’re doing, which acts as a source of inspiration for me on a daily basis.

I really believe we celebrate diversity and welcome the variety of experiences our people bring to Checkout.com. I think initiatives like our colleague-led community groups are brilliant at helping our people feel a sense of belonging. And I know we’re also working with some amazing external partners to help our open opportunities reach as many different types of people as possible.
