Engineering Manager, Regard

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams of 5 or more
• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production software systems
• Demonstrated experience in either backend or frontend development at a senior level
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry)

Desirable

• As an Engineering Manager at Regard, you will manage, lead, and grow a team of Software Engineers
• You will play a core role, collaborating across engineering and product, to lead the development of key features within our provider-facing product
• You will be responsible for setting the strategic vision, prioritization decisions, technical execution, and team leadership
• You’ll play a key role in exploring and integrating cutting-edge generative AI technologies to unlock new capabilities and elevate the user experience across our platform
• This role will report directly to our VP of Engineering
• Lead the development and delivery of product features, collaborating closely with product and design partners to drive user satisfaction and product adoption
• Manage and support a team of engineers through regular coaching, feedback, and career development
• Drive technical architecture decision-making, and contribute to both front end and backend system design, balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery
• Support the team in maintaining production system reliability and performance, including participation in on-call rotations
• Contribute to the codebase when needed to unblock the team or gain hands-on understanding of technical challenges
• Drive execution on complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical subject matter experts to ensure smooth coordination and communication
