Role
Who you are
- Proven proficiency for graphic design within Figma, Photoshop or similar
- A strong portfolio demonstrating ability to follow brand/campaign guidelines
- A good understanding of design principles, colour theory, typography, layout composition
- Proven track record of creating super cool, social-first content
- An ability to think outside the box with innovative campaigns
- Strategic thinking with strong verbal and written presentation skills
- Passionate about self development; being connected and up-to-date with trends and movements both in and out of the industry to inspire digital look and feel of the brand
- Enthusiasm for running and inspiring more people to be active
- 2-4 years within a graphic design role (a bachelors degree in graphic design or equivalent is a bonus. Even better if you have both!)
- Experience working with performance marketing and digital advertising is a bonus!
What the job involves
- We are looking for an exceptionally talented and creative individual to join the Runna team and work directly with Laura (Performance Marekting Lead), Calum (Creative Manager) and the rest of the growth and marketing teams to reach the next wave of Runnas. You are able to design and create content and graphics for multiple platforms / advertising campaigns that we’ll be using across our growth channels
- Graphic Design – Design eye-catching, best-in-class, graphics for social media ads (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google etc.), emails, and in-app community content
- Concept Ideation – Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions to help develop our next top-performing ads!
- Collaboration- Work closely with the Creative Manager, Performance Marketing Lead, the wider creative team, and external creative agencies to ensure cohesion and excellence across all creative output
- Image Editing – Edit high-quality images for use across ads, CRM, and digital platforms
- Creative Optimisation - Understanding key data/performance metrics to inform design decisions and iterate creatively
- Creative Research - Staying up-to-date with the latest industry and graphic design trends to foster continuous improvement in Runna’s creative function
- Generally getting involved in startup bits and bobs!)

- Office visit - interview & meet the team (in-person chance to meet the team and 40 minutes interview with Miranda, Head of Growth and Dom, CEO)

Our take
As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has since consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team.
