• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack engineering experience with Python and React in production environments
• Proficiency in Django for building backend APIs, services, and data-intensive systems
• Strong experience building modern frontend applications using React
• Experience designing and working with GraphQL APIs, including schema design, performance considerations, and client-server data modeling
• Experience designing and working with scalable systems, databases, and data-intensive applications
• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, and engineering best practices
• Experience shipping and owning production systems used by real customers
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strong problem solving skills and a product-oriented mindset

• This is a highly product-oriented engineering role with deep ownership across frontend, backend, and system design
• You will work closely with product, design, ML, and scientific teams to turn complex scientific workflows into intuitive, high-performance software used daily by world-class researchers
• As a senior engineer, you will be responsible not just for execution, but for technical direction, architectural decisions, and setting engineering standards
• You will own features end-to-end, from initial concept through production, iteration, and scale
• This role requires strong full-stack engineering fundamentals, a bias toward shipping, and the ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

• Design, build, and maintain core Mithrl product features across frontend and backend
