Company mission
To enable the world's best brand to reimagine possible.
Role
Who you are
- 8-12 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, including at least 4 years marketing a headless CMS, DXP, DAM, or content infrastructure product. Deep category experience is critical
- Hands-on enterprise DAM or content management experience, including familiarity with RFPs and complex enterprise buying processes
- Proven experience owning pricing and packaging for a product line and confidently defending your commercial decisions
- You can demo a product live and unscripted without relying on a sales engineer. This will be tested during the interview process
- Experience positioning against enterprise incumbents and challengers, with a track record of applying lessons from both wins and losses
- A demonstrated track record of driving adoption after launch, using data to understand what worked and what needs to change
- Strong communication, executive presence, and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Marketing, and the executive team
- Additional experience with DAM, retail/commerce, developer audiences, partner ecosystems, product-led growth, or answer engine/search optimization is a plus
- You like occasional travel
- You value a collaborative, fun culture!
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Sr. Product Marketing Manager to own the commercial strategy for Content Cloud, including our headless CMS, Assets (our DAM), and Launch
- This is the largest revenue base in our portfolio and the product line where many of our customers begin their Contentstack journey
- This is a senior-level individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence
- You’ll own the product line end to end, including positioning, packaging, launches, buyer narratives, pricing, competitive strategy, and field readiness
- You’ll also help raise the bar for the broader product marketing team without directly managing them and serve as a strategic resource when the function lead is unavailable
- The role has a strong commercial focus
- You’ll help protect and grow our largest installed base, drive expansion from CMS into Assets and Launch, and shape how we compete in highly competitive enterprise markets
- You’ll also help evolve our story as Contentstack moves toward agentic experiences, using customer insights, market intelligence, and adoption data to continuously improve our strategy
- Contentstack is an AI-forward company, and we bring practical experience using AI tools and technologies to improve how we work, learn, solve problems, and drive impact
- If you’re excited by the opportunity to own a significant product line, shape how we compete in the market, and make a measurable commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you!
- Own the commercial strategy for Content Cloud, including positioning, packaging, launches, buyer narratives, and field readiness
- Own the renewal and expansion narrative for our largest installed base, including opportunities to grow adoption of Assets and Launch
- Lead competitive strategy, including battlecards, win/loss insights, enterprise RFP/RFI support, and translating competitive deal intelligence into product strategy
- Own pricing, packaging, ICP, and core value propositions, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing
- Define and measure adoption goals for launches, using data and customer feedback to improve go-to-market strategies
- Bring the voice of the customer and market into our strategy through regular customer conversations, analyst briefings, and competitive research
- Represent Contentstack externally through live demos, webinars, customer roundtables, ContentCon, and other market-facing opportunities
- Raise the bar for the product marketing team through mentorship, collaboration, and strategic leadership without direct management responsibility
Our take
As enterprises handle and produce increasing volumes of content, the Content Management System (CMS) market is still growing strongly – expected to more than double in size by 2030. To differentiate themselves in a crowded market, disruptors entering the space are championing the idea of “Headless CMS”, through which enterprises can customize the front-end visuals while offering the same level of backend infrastructure.
Co-founded by the same trio that created and sold Built.io, Contentstack is one such disruptor that’s making a strong name for itself. Founded in 2019, the platform is now used by a number of major enterprises including Shell, JPMorgan Chase, McDonald’s, and Walmart.
The company has huge VC funding as well as a high-profile customer base, but there is still plenty of competition – Storyblok, Prismic, Strapi, and Kontent are all well funded and growing quickly too. That being said, Contenstack is hoping that its no-code automation features will help it stand out from the rest as the company looks to grow internationally.
