Company mission
To bring development superpowers to everyone.
Role
Who you are
- Admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience, including a combination of law firm training and at least 2 years in-house supporting revenue-generating teams in a hyper-growth, fast-paced tech environment
- A demonstrated track record of independently drafting, negotiating, and closing B2B SaaS/PaaS agreements, including DPAs and privacy terms, as well as vendor and partnership agreements, in close partnership with Sales, Procurement, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Hands-on experience supporting a partner ecosystem, such as channel/reseller, referral, technology/integration, agency, or marketplace programs
- Are a low-ego team player who likes to roll up your sleeves and jump in wherever needed, whatever the scope or visibility of the work
- Are commercially pragmatic: you can secure the best overall deal for Webflow without winning every point, prioritizing what matters and trading the rest
- Understand how partner economics and incentives work, and can design terms that scale across a program rather than one-off deals
- Bring growth-enabling, risk-balanced judgment and know when to escalate
- Are comfortable being uncomfortable: you make sound calls with incomplete information and adapt quickly as priorities shift
- Are AI-fluent and systems-savvy, with hands-on experience in a CLM (Ironclad or similar), DocuSign, Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Slack
- Communicate plainly and can coach sales reps, partner managers, and other stakeholders to handle routine issues on their own
- Stay curious and open to growth, demonstrating a proactive embrace of AI and actively building and applying fluency in emerging technologies to elevate how you work, drive faster outcomes, and expand collective impact
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to join Webflow's Commercial Legal team
- This is a hands-on, high-variety role. One day you're closing an enterprise MSA at quarter-end. Next you're negotiating a reseller agreement, structuring terms for a new technology partner with our BD team, tightening our API and marketplace terms, or updating a playbook after closing a complex deal
- You'll own a steady flow of deals from start to finish and be the main POC to our impactful and growing Corporate GTM team, and you'll be the person the team counts on to jump in wherever the business needs it most
- You'll work closely with Sales, Partnerships, RevOps, Procurement, Finance, Product, Security, and Privacy to get deals done and counsel our internal stakeholders with sound, risk-balanced judgment
- You'll also help scale Webflow's partner ecosystem and keep our contracting frameworks current as Webflow builds out agentic and AI-powered capabilities. This role suits a commercially pragmatic lawyer who knows which points matter, trades the rest well, and is energized by the pace and ambiguity of a high-growth, sales-led company
- Reporting to the AGC, Head of Commercial Legal
- Independently negotiate and close a high volume of customer agreements across SMB, mid-market, regulated, and large enterprise segments, including MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs, SLAs, NDAs, and AI addenda
- Support Webflow's partner ecosystem end to end: draft and negotiate agreements with agency and solution partners, technology and integration partners, resellers and channel partners, and referral partners, including program terms, co-selling and co-marketing, revenue share, and referral fees
- Work with Partnerships and BD teams to structure, launch, and scale partner programs, keeping partner-facing templates, flow-downs, and program terms aligned with our customer paper
- Advise on API, developer, and marketplace terms (including terms for app developers and template creators), working with Product so our terms match how our platform and AI features actually work
- Review and negotiate vendor agreements, including SaaS, AI-enabled tools, and services, in partnership with Procurement, Security, and Privacy
- Maintain and improve templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and enablement materials so deal teams can handle routine issues themselves
- Serve as a go-to escalation point and provide hands-on training and enablement for Sales, Partnerships, and Deal Desk, with clear, practical guidance that weighs revenue impact, risk, and precedent
- Pinch-hit across the team: cover colleagues' deals, get in the trenches with our Trust & Safety team on Security and Privacy issues, and roll up your sleeves as the business evolves
- Use AI tools and our contracting stack to speed up your end to end work product, with proper guardrails for accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality
Application process
- Application deadline: applications accepted on an ongoing basis until position is closed and filled
Our take
Webflow is an AI-native web experience platform that enables teams to design, build, manage, and optimize high-performing digital experiences across the entire website lifecycle — from creation to conversion — without relying on fragmented tools or constant developer handoffs.
Unlike traditional website builders or legacy CMS platforms, Webflow combines visual development, content management, optimization, analytics, localization, governance, and enterprise-grade hosting into a single, integrated system. This allows marketing, design, development, and growth teams — and increasingly AI agents — to collaborate in one shared environment while maintaining brand consistency, security, and control.
Built for a world where websites must perform for both humans and AI systems, Webflow helps organizations stay discoverable and relevant as search, personalization, and content consumption evolve. Native AI capabilities are embedded directly into core workflows, accelerating everything from site creation and content updates to experimentation, personalization, and AEO (AI Engine Optimization).
Today, over 3,000 organizations — from startups and agencies to global enterprises including Dell, Spotify, Dropbox, and Upcwork — use Webflow to build brand-forward digital experiences that drive measurable business results. With a strong partner ecosystem, enterprise adoption momentum, and more than $330M in funding, Webflow is redefining how modern teams build and scale on the web.
Rather than replacing developers, Webflow shifts development effort to where it matters most — freeing teams to move faster, operate more efficiently, and evolve their digital presence without replatforming as their needs grow.
