Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles, preferably in SaaS or the aviation industry
- Proven track record of success in prospecting and lead generation, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively
- Fluent in English, proficiency in an additional language would be a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with prospects and colleagues
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for sales and a proactive approach to achieving goals
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot, Pipedrive, Salesforce), Sales Engagement tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in using tools and technologies including AI to increase efficiency and output
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, or industry events as needed
What the job involves
- This is a full time role which can be either on a contract basis in Europe, or as an employee in the UK
- As an integral member of our Sales team, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities and expanding our market presence in the EMEA region
- The primary focus of this role will be on prospecting, identifying key decision-makers, and nurturing relationships with potential clients
- The SDR will utilize a combination of research, outreach, and strategic communication to effectively engage prospects and generate qualified leads for our Sales Executives
- Conduct proactive outbound prospecting efforts to generate new sales leads within the aviation industry, primarily targeting airlines, aircraft operators, maintenance organizations, and aviation regulatory agencies
- Utilise various channels including email, phone calls, social media, and networking events to initiate contact with potential clients and qualify leads
- Research and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations, understanding their pain points, challenges, and business needs
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop targeted messaging and outreach strategies aligned with company objectives
- Effectively manage and prioritize lead pipelines using CRM software, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement with prospects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and activities in the CRM system to track progress and measure performance
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage

TrustFlight develops intelligent workflow automation platforms and other tools with the aim of improving levels of efficiency and safety across the aviation sector. Currently, the company’s suite of products caters to maintenance programmes, technical support, tech and engine logs, and operational and equipment management.
It’s a slim sector to be operating in - and one would think it would pit TrustFlight head to head with a prohibitively strong slew of industry giants. TrustFlight, however, is seeing good growth - and has even partnered with the likes of Boeing to bring blockchain verification methods to aviation supply chains.
This integration of sourcing and the blockchain is proving a smart and lucrative bet across various industries, given the tightening regulatory focus on promoting supply chain oversight. It’s just one example of how TrustFlight is leveraging its deeptech expertise to digitally transform aviation. Developments in this sector won’t happen fast, but they are critical, and highly influential. TrustFlight has its sights set on becoming an important player in the space.
