Role
Who you are
- 3 years of engineering experience with Go
- Some experience using NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, including containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Prior knowledge and experience with Java and Spring Boot applications
- Polyglot developer with the ability to work across multiple programming languages and frameworks as needed
- Experience using relational databases
What the job involves
- This position is needed to help the CDXP Engineering team (Customer and Developer Experience Platform) build and maintain the communications platform, used by thousands of customers worldwide to communicate through various channels
- A successful candidate is passionate about designing, developing, deploying and operating software solutions at scale, self-starter, embodying a growth mindset, and wants to help Twilio deliver the best user experience for next-generation communications
- Develop and maintain software, contributing to the overall success of CDXP
- Work with a small and collaborative team, whiteboarding ideas, building full stack products, Apis and services
- Perform thorough and thoughtful code reviews to help maintain a high standard of code quality
- Support production operations, building, releasing and assisting with team on-call
- Craft clear and concise documentation

From these beginnings, the company has expanded through acquisitions and product development to provide a suite of services around market data and customer engagement. It is now a market leader in this space, and has developed a customer base of more than 150,000 businesses including enterprise brands such as Deliveroo, Duolingo and Toyota.
With that said, aggressive expansion and lack of maturity in some of its products has impacted the company's efficiency, and like many of its peers it has been forced to restructure heavily to remain competitive. Coming out of this restructuring, the company will focus on profitability, streamlining decision making and R&D to put itself in good stead for future success.
