Company mission
To build a new operating system for global logistics.
Role
Who you are
- 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles, ideally at a company or team you joined early and helped scale. Depth and judgment matter more to us than the exact years of experience
- Real depth in at least one area: databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, or application frameworks and runtimes. We value hard-earned production scars over buzzwords
- A track record of grounding decisions in evidence: setting SLOs, prioritizing performance work, planning capacity, finding bottlenecks, and understanding where systems break
- Nice to have: some experience with our stack of TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, Google Cloud, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog
What the job involves
- That’s what this role is about. Infrastructure is the thing standing between us and the next order of magnitude, and we’re going all in on it
- This person takes on our hardest scaling and reliability problems and owns them outright and sets the technical direction for how Pallet runs at scale
- It’s about as close to a founding infra role as you’ll find at a company that’s already past the risky part. High stakes, real ownership, and a straight line from your work to the business
- You’re one of the first infra hires, so you’ll have huge scope and real ownership
- We’re pragmatic, lean toward boring, proven technology, and trust engineers to use their judgment
- The people here are good. That’s the part that’s hard to fake, so come meet the team and see
- Help us scale to millions of AI agent runs per day, solving the capacity, performance, and reliability challenges that come with it
- Make our platform portable across clouds and on-prem customer environments
- Work through complex enterprise integration requirements, including identity, private networking, certificate-based authentication, and data residency
- Own observability and incident response, from alerting and on-call to post-mortems, and make sure the same thing doesn’t break twice
- Improve developer productivity by making local development, CI, deployments, and production debugging fast and dependable
Application process
- Chat with Recruiter - 30 mins
- Chat with HM/Technical Screen - 60 mins
- Final Interview - 3-4 hours
- Brief Background Check and Reference Check
- Please note: The interview process may vary or shift depending on the role and circumstances
Our take
Bringing the power of AI to logistics, Pallet supplies an all-in-one platform that combines transportation and warehouse management. This union of TMS (transportation management system) and WMS (warehouse management system) software in one place makes for a valuable asset for organisations that are seeking to supercharge efficiency.
By collecting everything in one place, Pallet ensures that it stands out from less broad offerings - delivering order entry, dispatch, warehousing, billing, customer communication and more. Clients are able to put all their teams on one platform and automate many of their most time-consuming tasks with the help of AI.
With a long list of customers including teams at SpaceX, Google and Apple, it is clear that Pallet has made a space for itself in the market. The company raised substantial funding in 2025, in a round led by General Catalyst, which is being used to grow its team and operations in line with surging demand for its product.
