Role
Who you are
- A successful Account Executive has demonstrated success selling to companies with 250+ employees
- 1–3+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding quota in SMB and Mid-Market segments
- Experience closing software deals, preferably $50K+ ACV opportunities, and sourcing your own pipeline through proactive outbound outreach
- Proven ability to operate in both high-velocity inbound environments and more strategic, multi-stakeholder Mid-Market sales cycles
- Demonstrated success with land-and-expand motions, from initial deal through expansion growth
- Comfortable engaging multiple personas, including business users, technical stakeholders, and C-suite executives
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced or ambiguous environments, and a hunger to go hunt for new business and grow existing accounts
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI beyond basic LLM chat usage, including applying AI tools in the sales process and having a strong understanding of use cases
What the job involves
- We’re looking for experienced Account Executives to join our growing Sales team
- In this role, you’ll join the Mid Market sales team and be responsible for selling Zapier’s AI Orchestration and Automation platform offerings to customers
- They can build a pipeline through both inbound and outbound channels, can successfully sell to both executive buyers of Zapier and technical end users of the product, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Engineering, Demand Generation, RevOps, etc), and take ownership for the outcomes of the program
- Drive revenue for Zapier, owning the entire sales cycle through close
- You will hunt and build your path to quota attainment using inbound and outbound sources to be successful
- Deeply understand your customers to uncover customer needs and pain points
- Have the patience and curiosity to own the full sales cycle from Lead -> Close -> Expansion to maximize deal value
- Navigate complex multi-party sales and win trust through consultative sales conversations with executives
- Own sales activity and monthly revenue forecasting in Hubspot/Gong
- Provide recommendations to our product teams to help influence our Enterprise roadmap

As people used more software services, Zapier founders saw the need to connect the actions between these software and save everyone some time.
Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since its founding, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator and has also been a pioneer of remote working.
Zapier has so far been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as one of the first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong position for growth, but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
