Role
Who you are
- If you are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment—comfortable shooting videos on your phone one moment and presenting content strategy to leadership the next—we want to meet you
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 3-8 years of experience at a brand or agency
- Excellent writing, communication, content creation, video editing, and deployment skills. Adobe Premiere Pro and HubSpot experience are a plus
- Very strong attention to detail including project management, copywriting, video editing, CRM and email deployment skills
- Demonstrate a high degree of digital fluency—someone who lives and breathes content, understands current platform trends, and intuitively knows what will resonate
- Outcome-oriented -- focused on meeting timelines and deliverables
- Able to thrive in a highly fluid go-to-market process. We are developing the playbook not running the playbook
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt in a highly fluid environment
- A creative marketing mind that knows it’s about driving revenue not about winning creativity awards. We are not interested in going to Cannes, we are interested in changing the world
- Ability to understand global markets, create market specific execution plans, and work across time zones

What the job involves
- Skylo is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to serve as the voice and visual storyteller of our brand. In this role, you’ll bring Skylo’s identity to life across social media platforms, internal and external communications, and customer-facing content
- You'll create engaging, visually compelling content that educates and inspires, from LinkedIn posts to video clips and blog features
- As a digital native with a passion for content creation, you’ll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to build a bold and premium presence online
- Create content experiences to educate Skylo’s global audience on the power and peace of mind that comes from seamless satellite connectivity, including blogs, video podcasts, solution briefs, press releases, white papers, how to videos, email campaigns and engaging customer presentations
- Act as Skylo’s in-house content creator and storyteller, bringing a strong sense of aesthetics, personal style, and creativity to elevate brand visibility and engagement
- Develop and execute creative campaigns, in-house across video clips, email blasts, paid digital, organic social posts, trade show/event recaps including web page and template updates. Tie campaign execution back to results
- Be hands-on in targeting, engaging, and nurturing prospects across multiple media channels, both organic and paid activities
- Develop a deep understanding of the market and Skylo’s positioning in it to fuel sharp, creative storytelling on how our offering is differentiated from the competition
- Manage the Skylo blog, website, and any external communications with a point of view on how to create and execute a distinctive, highly premium brand experience
- Manage PR d activities to grow Skylo’s premium positioning in the market as a thought leader and pioneer in non-terrestrial networks
- Ensure a consistent Skylo Voice across all collateral, communications, creatives, etc
- Manage external vendors & partners for select activities
Our take
Skylo connects Internet of Things (IoT) devices to satellite networks using the cellular-based Narrowband IoT protocol. It is considered one of the world’s most affordable and ubiquitous networks that connects any machine or sensor.
The company stands out for being the first to leverage the aforementioned protocol, which allows its customers to instantaneously connect billions of devices in remote areas, without having to wait for any new satellites to launch. Having tested its technology with government and enterprise clients, the company then invested funding into scaling service in emerging markets, starting with India and Southeast Asia.
More recently, Skylo has focussed on forming partnerships, such as with IoT firm FocusPoint and telecommunications equipment company Anritsu Corporation, through which it has helped delivered IoT monitoring and emergency escalation services and enhanced Non-Terrestrial Network device testing. It has also launched SMS texting capabilities on its live satellite network, with plans to roll out two-way voice calls and images in the near future.
