Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking(ideally M&A) or corporate development
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong communication, relationship and presentation abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A focus on action and the ability to handle ambiguous problems in a short period of time
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first and fast paced environment
- A deep understanding of financial markets and digital assets

What the job involves
- The Corporate Development Associate plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth and strategic initiatives
- This dynamic position involves a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and relationship management
- The associate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating growth opportunities through mergers, acquisitions, investments, and partnerships, while conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis
- They will work closely with senior leadership to develop and present strategic recommendations, perform financial modeling and due diligence, and support deal negotiations
- Additionally, the role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of new ventures and alignment with the company's overall strategic goals
- Analyze and create business plans for growth opportunities (buy/build/partner), prioritizing and resourced based on strategic fit and potential value
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify acquisition targets, partnership opportunities, and industry trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential targets, investment bankers, and corporate development teams across various sectors (traditional finance, tech, exchanges, custodians, etc.)
- Perform financial modeling, valuation analyses, and due diligence for M&A transactions, supporting deal structuring and negotiations
- Prepare detailed analyses and recommendations for senior leadership and board of directors, including investment memoranda and presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives, support portfolio company integrations, and assist in post-merger activities
- Identify and evaluate international market opportunities, supporting the company's global expansion strategy
