Company mission
Save every household meaningful money by putting power in their hands
Role
Who you are
- Builds with AI: you use AI to do yourself what used to take a whole team: working prototypes, design mocks, your own data cuts, and feedback loops that test ideas in hours rather than days, some of them recursive, with your squad taking it to production
- This is one of the most important bets in the company: a new squad with high autonomy and high accountability, set up to own how customers buy from Sunsave, and a chance to use AI to transform how the whole industry sells. You've probably owned a growth or acquisition funnel at a fast-growing consumer business, but we care more about what you've built than about your title
- Impact: you've moved a funnel metric and can show the before and after, and you know which metrics don't matter
- Customer empathy: you talk to customers routinely and understand them deeply: what they're worried about, what they need to hear and why they hold back. You can tell your product's story in two sentences
- Judgement: when AI lets anyone build almost anything, deciding what not to build is most of the job. You prioritise by impact on the customer and the numbers, not by what's quick to ship, and can point to things you chose not to build
- Commercial: you think in unit economics, weighing upfront margin and payback against lifetime value. You understand cannibalisation and product trade-offs, and know which to optimise for given the business's priorities
- Intensity: you've chosen fast-moving, high-expectation environments before and do your best work in them. This is a demanding role, and we'd rather say so up front
What the job involves
- Own the funnel: getting each customer to the right product, online or with a seller, whether they came from a partner, a referral, an ad or a search. That covers; lead qualification and scoring, savings calculation, product triage (solar and battery or battery only), system sizing, finance terms, add-ons such as EV chargers and backup power, partner integrations, and booking a consultation with a seller
- Build the e-commerce experience: an instant, personalised quote and checkout with integrated finance, built AI-first with the latest tools and models. It uses roof and energy data to show what a home will save, explains the numbers in plain words, and lets someone ready to buy go from quote to signed agreement online, handing over to a seller at any point. Nobody in home energy has done this well yet
- Own the customer account up to signing: whether they buy fully online or with a seller, every customer gets one place to see their quote, answer survey questions, apply for finance, sign and know what happens next. Much of the work behind it can be automated, from pulling energy usage by API instead of asking for bills to generating designs automatically
- Build the experimentation infrastructure: so any team, Growth included, can quickly A/B test any step of the funnel, including price
- Lead a new squad: an AI-first, high-calibre team of engineers and a designer, with you setting the bar for how it works. You own the roadmap against acquisition cost and conversion, decide what not to build, and work across some of the most senior leaders in the business in Marketing, Sales, GTM, Commercial and Engineering

Our take
Sunsave is building what replaces your energy supplier. Energy companies sell power from a grid that gets more expensive every year. Sunsave believes the future of energy is decentralised, and they're building the company that brings that to the masses.
The national grid is creaking. Only 40% of a household's energy bill is actually used; the rest is grid cost, levies and policy costs. Even if wholesale energy prices drop, bills will keep increasing for decades. People are paying for a problem they didn't cause and can't control.
As energy decentralises, home energy is unbundling: a different company for the install, another for monitoring and maintenance, another for the financing, another for battery optimisation & trading. Sunsave bets that whoever puts it all back together into a single bill and a joined-up customer experience wins.
Founded in 2022, Sunsave lets people switch without paying anything upfront and offers an all-in-one package with kit, installation, finance and long-term protection. Battery optimisation and grid trading let customers charge when energy is cheap and sell it back when it's expensive, balancing the grid, earning money while they sleep and pushing their bill towards zero.
The traction shows their bet is paying off, with Sunsave raising a £113m Series A in 2025 and growing 3x that year. Growth is accelerating further in 2026, placing the company in the top 20 of Sifted's fastest-growing UK startups list two years running.

Company values
- We're changing how people power their lives: We know that only doing what’s familiar or easy isn’t going to get us there, so we’re unashamedly ambitious and set audacious goals. We’re excited by the hard problems that come with accomplishing something difficult, and we do whatever it takes to get closer to achieving our mission
- We start with the customer: We’re here to help real people, so their voices are at the centre of everything we do. We know that we can’t create a hugely successful business without building things that people really love. So everything we do starts with us asking: ‘What’s best for the customer?’
- We make it happen: We act with urgency, constantly prioritising to make sure we channel our energy into what matters most. We believe every problem has a solution, and we take ownership to figure it out. When we don’t have perfect information it doesn’t slow us down: we act, learn and adapt
- We drive each other to be exceptional: We’re one team, made stronger by supporting each other, sharing openly, and holding ourselves and each other to the highest standards. We prize honest constructive feedback, and we value fresh perspectives and respectful differences of opinion. We win, lose and learn together, and don’t let silos or egos get in the way
