Who you are

The ideal candidate should possess an insatiable curiosity, a strong drive for success, and a collaborative spirit
2+ years of experience in an enterprise BDR role, preferably within the fraud, risk, or compliance space, or experience in consulting or financial investment
In-depth knowledge of financial institutions and the FinTech landscape
Proficiency in outbound sales processes and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, Cognism and HubSpot)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated and hungry for success
Creative problem-solver with the ability to find innovative ways to break into top accounts
Excellent time management, communication skills (both written and verbal), and interpersonal abilities
Process-oriented mindset with a track record in prospecting and scheduling meetings with potential clients
Willingness to travel (10-20%) for conferences and industry events

What the job involves

We are seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Business Development Representative to focus on researching and strategizing target account lists
This role is crucial for expanding our presence in enterprise companies, specifically within the fintech, financial services, marketplaces, ecommerce, and high-risk verticals
This is not a traditional BDR role. It's a highly strategic position with a focus on quality, not quantity
We don't believe in imposing daily KPIs like most sales organizations where BDRs are cold calling and emailing people every day just to hit their numbers
Instead, we emphasize personalization and high-quality leads
This approach allows our Enterprise Business Development Representatives to make a significant impact on our growth in key verticals
Develop and implement strategies for targeting enterprise account lists in specified verticals
Confidently overcome objections and guide prospects through the sales funnel
Support a sales team of 10 AEs for a smooth transition of outbound leads
Use CRM and sales automation tools to optimize prospecting, tracking, and account management
Identify key accounts and event attendees, proactively reaching out to schedule meetings for the team in advance
Partner with Sales Operations to streamline and optimize sales processes through automation

Our take

Identity and payment fraud is one of the biggest dangers facing online businesses. Sardine is setting out to solve this problem by building the first zero-day fraud prevention technology.

Sardine's technology traces intrinsic behaviour patterns to identify so-called "bad actors" online, and detects fraudsters using machine-learned fraud scores and user behavior biometrics.

The company calls itself the world's first FaaS (Fraud Detection as a Service), and its solutions are already drawing business from next-gen crypto and financial service institutions. Onboarding these institutions and scaling its customer base at pace will ensure that Sardine maintains its frontrunner position.
