- 5+ years of success in enterprise or strategic account sales, ideally selling complex technical, cloud, SaaS, platform, engineering, or scientific-computing solutions
- Demonstrated success growing enterprise accounts and/or winning new business in France
- Experience selling to large organizations in automotive, manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering software, simulation, HPC, cloud, or adjacent technology environments
- A track record of managing long, complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles from discovery through close and expansion
- Ability to engage credibly with engineering, R&D, IT, digital transformation, procurement, finance, and executive stakeholders
- Strong skills in consultative discovery, value selling, negotiation, executive communication, and closing
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM with disciplined opportunity management and forecasting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English. Additional languages are an advantage
- Strong organization, prioritization, and account-planning skills
- Must be based in France and able to travel regularly to customer sites and industry events across the country
What the job involves
- We are looking for a high-performing Strategic Account Executive to lead direct enterprise sales and account growth across France
- This is an entrepreneurial, field-based role focused on building and expanding strategic relationships with key and enterprise accounts
- You will own a defined portfolio of named accounts, create demand, develop executive relationships, win new business, and expand Rescale’s footprint from foundational HPC into advanced modeling and simulation, agentic engineering, and AI Physics
- You will operate as the commercial owner of your territory: setting the account strategy, identifying business problems, building internal champions, creating compelling value cases, and leading complex sales cycles from first engagement through renewal and expansion. This is a direct-sales role, not a channel-led position
- You will work closely with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales Development, Product, and Rescale leadership, while retaining ownership of the commercial strategy and outcome
- France is a priority market, with particular emphasis on automotive and manufacturing enterprises where engineering organizations are investing in digital engineering transformation
- Success requires the ability to sell both into existing strategic relationships and into new enterprise accounts where Rescale can create meaningful business impact
- Own and grow a focused portfolio of strategic key and enterprise accounts across France
- Build account and territory plans that identify the highest-value expansion paths, whitespace, executive relationships, and competitive risks
- Expand existing Rescale customers by introducing additional capabilities across the platform, from Rescale HPC to Advanced Modeling and Simulation, Agentic Engineering, and AI Physics
- Develop new enterprise relationships and win new logos where Rescale’s platform can transform engineering and R&D workflows
- Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting, account-based engagement, executive networking, customer insight, and disciplined market development
- Engage senior stakeholders across engineering, R&D, simulation, IT, digital transformation, finance, procurement, and executive leadership
- Lead the full enterprise sales cycle, including account planning, discovery, qualification, value engineering, business-case development, solution alignment, negotiation, procurement, and close
- Position Rescale as a strategic platform for HPC modernization, simulation acceleration, engineering workflow transformation, and AI-driven product development
- Articulate how Rescale’s offerings work together: HPC as the scalable foundation; Advanced Modeling and Simulation as the workflow layer; Agentic Engineering as the automation layer; and AI Physics as the intelligence layer that turns simulation data into predictive insight
- Build trusted relationships across the customer organization, from end users and technical champions to business sponsors, procurement leaders, and C-level decision-makers
- Orchestrate internal teams to deliver coordinated account plans, executive engagement, technical validation, pilots, and commercial proposals
- Maintain rigorous Salesforce hygiene, forecast accuracy, opportunity inspection, and pipeline coverage, with clear weekly visibility into commit, likely, best case, and risk
- Represent Rescale in customer meetings, industry events, and executive forums across France, with travel expected at approximately 30%
- What Success Looks Like:
- Consistent achievement and overachievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets through a healthy mix of account expansion and net-new enterprise business
- Durable growth within strategic accounts, including broader adoption of Rescale’s platform and expansion into new teams, workloads, geographies, and use cases
- A high-quality, self-generated pipeline across automotive, manufacturing, and other engineering-intensive industries
- New enterprise logos and meaningful strategic wins in the French market
- Executive-level credibility with customers navigating HPC modernization, simulation, AI, and digital engineering transformation
- Clear customer value cases that connect technical outcomes to business priorities such as faster product development, higher engineering productivity, improved infrastructure flexibility, and better R&D economics
- Consistent operating discipline, urgency, ownership, resilience, and transparency in a high-growth environment
Our take
Migrating on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid or fully cloud-based setup is a complex process that requires network understanding, resources, and time. Whilst some companies aid in making this switch simpler, the challenges of migrating high-performance computing (HPC) systems to the cloud are significantly more complex and remain unaided.
Rescale provides sets of HPC resources to help customers optimise their applications for maximum performance within hybrid or fully cloud-based infrastructures. This is achieved through the application of full-stack automation to minimise the complexity of migration, fine-tuning the infrastructure to optimise the performance of the specific application.
Various startups are tackling infrastructure migration for small businesses and enterprises to support industry-wide moves to cloud computing. Rescale presents itself as a unique competitor by focusing on aiding companies that require HPC for industries such as engineering, aerospace, and scientific research. Impressive 2025 funding will be used to accelerate the development of Rescale's digital engineering platform, and comes at a time when more companies are investing in technology that quickens their products' time to market.
