Who you are
- If you are also competent in monitoring and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you
- Experience as a Software Engineer or similar role working with large-scale infrastructure systems
- Relevant knowledge related to cloud virtualisation platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Relevant knowledge with regards to containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Excellent scripting and automation skills
- Knowledge/Understanding of:
- Scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash, Linux, etc.)
- AWS
- Docker
- CircleCi, Codeship, Fastlane, BitRise or similar technologies
What the job involves
- We are looking for Platform Engineers that will contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our production and development infrastructure including all our deployment pipelines
- As part of your role it will be crucial to ensure that the company has the required tooling to deploy, monitor, maintain and control the usage of the platform infrastructure and to ensure the security and safety of our applications and data
- In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent automation skills
- You will work on a day-to-day basis with our product team to design, architect and implement our product
- TravelPerk is a next-generation platform to take the pain out of booking and managing business travel
- Manage the current platform infrastructure
- Manage the current code deployment pipelines
- Ensure the safety and security of all our infrastructure and data
- Maintain all the cloud tools used on the production infrastructure
- Support product squads with the relevant knowledge about the infrastructure evolution and needs
- Recommend ways to improve the current setup

Although business travellers are often at the forefront of driving company growth, booking travel is typically a logistical nightmare as corporate travel tools are underdeveloped and stuck way in the past. TravelPerk has built a platform free from micromanagement, creating an experience that puts business travellers first.
TravelPerk's number of active users has grown year on year. Further, as well as more customers using the platform, those on it are using it more regularly. This is a clear signal that TravelPerk has a product market fit and is in scaling mode. The company has more than 2,000 customers, including scaleups like Revolut, Farfetch and Beyond Meat.
According to TravelPerk, its unit economics are strong already, which puts it in a strong position to grow without diluting itself too much through investment. The company is still innovating and said it is planning to release more products that will give the business traveller more freedom and flexibility than ever before. Its new Edinburgh hub and partnership with fintech unicorn Pleo, TravelPerk is undoubtedly committing to a period of scaling. Exemplifying this is its Series D funding of $104 million awarded in January 2024, which will boost TravelPerk's AI and automation capabilities to aid its growth.
