Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, or related area
- Strong knowledge of equity compensation regulations and tax implications
- Experience with equity management platforms – Carta, Shareworks, Equity Edge
- Advanced Excel and data management skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
What the job involves
- Shield AI is seeking an Equity Program Manager to join our finance team
- Reporting to the Technical Accounting Director, this role will be responsible for administering and managing the company’s equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other share-based plans
- This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and effective communication with employees regarding equity awards
- Administer global equity compensation plans
- Maintain and manage equity tracking systems
- Oversee cap table management and ensure data accuracy
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, HR, and Payroll teams
- Manage equity transactions, including grants, vesting, exercises, and terminations
- Support financial reporting requirements
- Prepare and review equity-related disclosures for audits and filings
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding equity compensation
- Develop and improve processes, controls, and documentation
Our take
Self-driving vehicles present enormous benefits for the transportation industry, with the potential to increase the safety and efficiency of cars, trucks, and commercial airlines. However, such technological innovation is less present within the military transportation sector, despite the benefits that AI piloting would produce for the operation of drones and aircraft.
Shield AI is developing Hivemind, an AI-driven pilot that can operate drones and aircraft autonomously, without needing GPS, communications, or pilots. In addition to navigation, the technology is also designed to facilitate indoor building clearance, integrated defence breaching, and has the ability to learn and autonomously execute aircraft missions.
Whilst similar AI-driven pilot software has begun to appear in Chinese military research programs, Shield AI's target is the US. By developing fully autonomous piloting integrations for any type of aircraft, the company aims to future-proof the US military without the need for bespoke aircraft design. It has generated massive amounts of funding to support continued scaling and R&D efforts.
