- 5+ years of software development experience building scalable systems
- Strong computer science fundamentals based on a degree in computer science or distinctive work experience in software development
- Strong understanding and experience with TypeScript, React and NextJS
- Strong focus on execution and delivery of the product
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality and long-term goals
- Strong communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support
- A leadership mindset. You take initiative, make decisions and deliver results consistently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where learning and adaptability are key
- Familiarity with the stack is strongly preferred but not required

- Leverage cutting-edge computer vision technology to launch visually stunning 3D experiences for consumers in the home decor industry
- Lead and drive high-impact projects and initiatives aligned with business goals, ensuring successful execution from concept through launch
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, high-performance solutions to ensure an exceptional user experience
- Own key systems and components within the front-end architecture, driving their development, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement
- Share your knowledge by mentoring your peers and more junior team members
- Provide technical leadership through architectural reviews, system design discussions, and improving team processes and engineering best practices
- Leverage your knowledge and expertise to help shape our engineering culture
- Unblock, support and communicate with internal and external partners to achieve results

Our take
Leap Tools is an AR visualisation platform that helps retail customers visualise the products they want to buy within their own homes. Using augmented reality, it purports to increase eCommerce conversion rates by five times and increase web transactions by 10%.
Through its visualisation app Roomvo, Leap Tools can show what products - mainly homeware and furniture - will look like alongside people's other possessions. The idea is to turn potential customers into real customers because they don't have to rely on their imagination.
This simple solution solves a leading problem in eCommerce at a time when the majority of all shopping journeys begin, if not end, online. Leap Tools made its way onto Deloitte’s Fast 500 and Fast 50 for Canada in 2022, indicating a real interest in the product visualization software.
