Proven record of delivering a DL based system
MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Extensive experience designing and building modern planning systems a big plus

What the job involves

Develop safety-critical software for self-driving vehicles by leading, managing, and expanding a team focused on the motion forecasting & planning
Assume responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of autonomous driving related projects Actively code and develop prototypes to test novel algorithms and ideas
Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation, while promoting technical excellence and accountability within the team
Scale end-to-end ML pipelines for research and production, from data ingestion and pre-processing to model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring
Stay on top of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in machine learning and artificial intelligence
Present the progress to senior leadership and cross-functional teams

With self-driving vehicles becoming more common, the tuck shipping industry stands to benefit from autonomous driving technology, particularly given the current shortage of drivers in the US.

PlusAI provides self-driving technology for trucks to make fleets safer, more fuel-efficient, and sustainable. It uses machine learning to analyze routes and scenarios, providing real-time data to trucks equipped with the PlusDrive system. Unlike competitors focusing on urban transportation, PlusAI is tackling long-distance logistics, though regulatory challenges in the US remain a concern.

Currently, Plus offers a system that enhances driver safety and efficiency, while continuing to develop fully autonomous solutions. Following a successful pilot with IVECO, PlusAI is testing its automated trucks on German roads and plans to expand into other European markets, like Spain, very soon.
