- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, Workday, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll processing
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees and departments
- Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Process-first mentality is very important
- Excellent interpersonal skills in managing processes and cross-functional relationships
- Ability to maintain data confidentiality with a strong sense of professional integrity

What the job involves
- This position will report directly to OpenTable’s Payroll Manager - NORAM
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for employees in the US and Canada, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local regulations
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of wages, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll elements
- Administer payroll taxes for both US and Canadian employees, ensuring correct deductions and remittance to the relevant tax authorities
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure that employee records are updated with changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, and benefits
- Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring all data is accurate and complete
- Handle inquiries related to payroll issues, including discrepancies, missing hours, deductions, and general employee concerns
- Process and maintain employee benefits such as health insurance, pension, and other voluntary deductions in accordance with company policies and compliance
- Stay updated on changes in US and Canadian payroll legislation and tax laws to ensure compliance
- Assist with year-end processing, including the preparation of T4/T4A, W-2, and other relevant year-end forms
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on various payroll-related issues

Nonetheless, this market leader has garnered an impressive reputation, and there is nothing to say it won't hold on to the dominance it has earned into the future.
