Who you are

3-7+ years of full-time software engineering experience
An ability to perform in a fast paced environment dealing with ambiguous technical challenges
Startup or SaaS experience preferred
Experience with Python and Go
Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
Full stack candidates should additionally have experience working with React and Typescript

What the job involves

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers onto our two San Francisco based engineering teams
Our Foundations team is responsible for building Merge's infrastructure to help achieve new degrees of scale, performance, and reliability
Our Automation & Applied AI team is harnessing Applied AI to leverage LLMs, with the purpose of building net-new external products and driving internal efficiency through automation and tooling
This role will participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions
Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code
Lead large projects from initial inception to production
Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators

Our take

To help B2B companies navigate the increasing number of APIs needed to integrate SaaS product, Merge supplies a unified API. This provides access to dozens of payroll, recruiting, accounting, and HR platforms using a single integration layer. This way, businesses can work with a large number of APIs without compromising on efficiency.

Merge was founded in 2020 and has already built a large client base for itself, including Deed, AngelList, Ramp and Reachdesk. It has also expanded into new areas, providing support for CRM tools, ticketing systems and project management functions. With an impressively escalating annual revenue, and considerable funding at its back, the company continues to build out its product into new verticals.
