Backend Engineer, Mercanis

• We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is excited to build modern, reliable backend services and grow their technical expertise over time
• This role is perfect for someone who already has hands-on backend experience and is ready to level up in a supportive engineering culture
• 2–4 years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer, working with c and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including asynchronous programming, API development, and data handling
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Working knowledge of unit testing and code quality practices
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions and grow
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Fluency in English, spoken and written

• You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features that bring real value to our customers
• You will gain exposure to production-scale systems, cloud services, and event-driven architecture, while learning best practices from experienced teammates
• You will build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, contributing to a modern, event-driven platform
• You will write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, collaborating with peers during code reviews and pairing sessions
