Role
Who you are
- This is an ideal position for an individual who has previously worked at a startup or technology/software environment
- Designing and maintaining appropriate internal controls, systems, and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and enhancing the Company’s internal control environment
- Assisting with the preparation of supporting documentation in connection with the Company’s annual financial statement audits
- Educational background in finance, accounting or similar discipline
- European accounting certification or equivalent achieved, or in process
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting standards and practices relevant to multi-national corporations, ‘Big 4’ or other public accounting experience a plus
- High work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills and sense of responsibility
What the job involves
- BlueVoyant, a well-respected international cyber defense corporation, is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant to help scale the accounting and finance function in the EMEA region
- The Staff Accountant will play an important role in the finance organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations in our European entities
- The Company has been growing quickly, and the Staff Accountant will play a dynamic and fluid role as we continue to expand our growth
- Support the Finance Manager in period closing process, including reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L
- Support financial reporting in line with local GAAP or IFRS and US GAAP
- Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries for multiple entities within Europe
- Manage intercompany reconciliations
- Fixed asset accounting
- Post and reconcile banking transactions
- Performing AR/AP related transactions, including invoicing
- Assist in tax return preparation, VAT and other regulatory filings
- Assist in system implementation efforts impacting financial reporting systems
