To redistribute access to opportunity in tech, by helping people from all backgrounds learn software engineering and find employment in technical roles across start-ups, scale-ups and corporates.
01 Founders is a network of free-to-access on-campus coding schools offering two years of full-stack developer training followed by a job guarantee at a leading partner company. By challenging the high fees associated with existing coding schools, 01 Founders aims to be a catalyst for greater diversity within UK tech whilst tackling the deepening UK skills shortage.
In the programme, students learn through an innovative peer-to-peer pedagogy with gamified learning. 01 Founders also have set a target of achieving 50% women, 30% ethnic minorities and 50% individuals from underrepresented backgrounds on its course, in a drive to remove the barriers to job-ready technical training.
The company is supported by Founders Forum, 01Edu & Capital City College Group and partner companies include Peloton, Faculty & Nominet. 01 Founders aim to have trained 100,000 software engineers by the end of the decade.
